Reasonable !! I’m 6, 3 220lbs 🤫🤫 I used to be 180,190 back in the day . I rode Indy’s all my life with very short stints with Gullwing, krux the ones that grind for you lolol. Anyway, my point is that I have rode these trucks independence most of my life and I just got back into skating with a hiatus of 15 years because of knee injury life yada yada yada . I just picked up a board 8.5 with some 149/11 S with some Spitfire wheels Gunsallus 56 mm 99 hardness. I noticed that these trucks were very tourney and spongy and I had to tighten them up a little bit but overall they have really come a long way. It usually took a week to break in your old bushings, these are like a dream I learn to skate in the streets of New York City and the common way to skate in New York was super loose trucks and when I say moves, I mean stupid loose ! Anyway, I got used to riding like that and after a while it really becomes the only way you can skate because you can’t turn with tight trucks and you are really lessening your ability to balance because the board is balancing for you so if you take away the board your balance is not as good as somebody’s That can ride loose trucks..

I used to skate with Indys stock bushings, then I have tried bones medium for about two years, although I noticed that bones bushings were out of shape after about two months, affecting the feeling of my board and they changed the geometry of my trucks drastically, so I have been installing a brand new set of Bones medium bushings every two to three months, until the day I decided to try Indys again, but this time the conical shaped ones, soft( red) and medium (orange), and I can guarantee that they are the best especially on my Indys trucks. I also have just a pair of Thunder which I have never changed their stock bushings, hence thunder stock bushings are way better quality than Indys stock bushings. actual Indys stock bushings are trash , they are meant to be upgraded with proper bushings sold separately, and Indys replacement bushings are good quality in my opinion and personal experience, if you notice the Indys stock bushings have a different color tonality in comparison to the Indys orange medium bushings sold separately. the orange stock ones have slightly lighter color.

Thanks for the advice, I just bought some bones hard to replace my stock Indy bushings since they already started to deteriorate. Next time I’ll try replacement Indy bushings tho

Been skating 35 odd years and never changed from stock bushings unless they fully split and always skated thunder or Indy never had an issue. I’m in the what’s wrong with stock bushings gang, seems like everyone has a different preference! Thanks for the video, interesting doh doh graphic, subbing!

My thunder truck stock bushings got absolutely DESTROYED after just a few months, while the independent truck bushings have lasted more than a year and still look good

You should try indy soft and indy hard combos, i am running thunder 90s hangers and thunder 99s base plate. I get a solid surface, but because I am taller and weigh 165lbs i can still turn good when I lean. I swapped back to indies for my current deck. But usually ride thunders on my polar 8.625 boards

I’m 317lbs and got some hard bone bushings but I want to skate the stock bushings but I’m scared they’ll bust

SKate the stocks until you can't skate them any more, then replace them with the Bonez.

First thing I'd do when I got a pair of indys in was to replace the stock bushing with bones hard. Thunder's stock bushing seems to be a lot stiffer and I could get them as tight as I like but unless you run your trucks like Daewon Song loose then the stock indy bushings will explode before you ever get them somewhat tight.

The yellow indy bushings are great bones are good if your bigger try khiro bushings there insanely hard

Krux 92A Medium-Hard white bushings feel super good on both Indys and Thunders, they don't seem to split or break for me, or at least not nearly as quickly as the stock bushings

Bones hard bushings definitely seem too tall. Can't keep my bolt over the king pin enough and still have my trucks loose like I like. Kind of a bummer...

Independent makes their bushings in both cone / cone and cone / barrell and the yellow (96a) bushings are harder not softer than the black (94a) bushings. Using oil or grease on the pivot cups or bushings is a bad idea, petroleum degrades urethane. Wax will last longer and won't degrade the urethane.

People who change their stock bushings should just try harder at being good.

Or some people ride tighter trucks. Stock bushings blow out
