You guys have really cut out a unique niche for yourselves. These are some of the best drums I've heard in a long time🥁💪

Love the historical nod to Hayman Drums with the “knuckle buster” style Tom mount/holder! These are honestly, some of the nicest sounding drums I’ve heard in well over a decade! The tone and musicality of Both kits?! Incredible! Fantastic playing! What Chops! Congratulations on developing these drums, that sound like nothing else ! Great lines all around the kit. The hardware gives the kit a “modern vintage”look. Very sharp!

It's a testament do your drums that I was a huge Gretsch fan, owning more of their kits over the years than any others. But my INDe maple is the first kit that doesn't make me long for a Gretsch kit any more. To me INDe maple is very Gretsch like, comparable to Broadkasters.

As a Gretsch fan, I’m considering getting an INDe kit, no other brand has caught my eye enough to even think to switch brands like INDe did

Funny you say that...my Inde kit is sitting next to a 60's Round badge kit, a 90's Premier Cabria kit and a 60's Ludwig Club date...all 20's. Decided to put vintage Premier beer barrel die casts on the Cabria kit...it's so close to the Gretsch kit that I don't really need the Gretsch's anymore. In the same week I found the Club Dates and a used Inde kit. All kits are great in their own way, but if I had to keep only one...it'd be the Inde kit with the addition of a few more toms. It hits all the things I like in drums...a round, open and resonant tone, but controlled sustain. It's like a cleaner, less fuzzy Ludwig tone. Tuning range is huge...everything from low-fat to high bop. And no other kit has the under-stick feel that the Inde kit has. It just feels good to play...I think its the flex in all of the mounts that makes it have a bit more give. Anyway, need to order 10" and 16" toms to finish it out...anyone need some Gretsch's or Ludwig's?

Great job, Craig! Both kits sound great, but I'm all over that walnut Studio Mod kit.

Not sure if I hear too much difference in the shells, but this does prove that I prefer coated heads to clear heads

Great sound comparison. I'd love to hear them side-by-side with the exact same tuning and heads. What pitches are you using on the TuneBot for batter and reso heads on the toms?

Nice! Shells made by Keller?
@IndependentDrumLab2 жыл бұрын
Keller used to make our Flex-Tuned Maple shells. We are now using Nordic for all of our shells. They are fantastic to work with and quality is top notch!

@@IndependentDrumLab I was wondering who made the shells. Nordic is great! Full confidence with their work.

Are the shells your exclusive design that no one else can have, or are they just off the shelf from Nordic?
@IndependentDrumLab Жыл бұрын
The shells are our design, and exclusive to us.

It seems to me the coated toms resonate longer. I would've thought the opposite.
@IndependentDrumLab Жыл бұрын
The coated heads are single ply, clear heads are 2-ply! Also the Studio Mod kits are more focused, maple kits are more open sounding.

Call me crazy, but with this comparison I'd take the flex tuned kit in the studio

Too many variables by not using the same heads to make any decisions about the drums.
