@imranullahazhar7064 Not really, Pakistan army did a great job in occupying the heights, once they were there, it was very difficult for Indian army to take them on due to they being in heights. The Indian army fought back bravely and did capture heights like Tiger Hills etc.

@jallallshah8924 and you call your army -a professional army?, this is ridiculous, your army chief and few men without keeping core commanders/airforce/navy/PM/foreign office in loop starts a "private skirmish" with assumption that enemy will not retaliate (this is what pervez musharaf tells in his book that he "didnt expected such response" and he should not be blamed for it), your that time DG ISI Zia Butt has spilled the beans in many interviews what happened and character of pervez musharraf/Mehmood/Aziz. Civilian govts talks peace and sign Lahore declaration but millitary does reverse (Nawaz Sharif himself says that all were cheated by Army). War is not T20 match but test match. You had upper hand for 2 days best ultimately test match won by India. The sad part is for those brave soldiers who fought for Pakistan, there bodies werent even claimed by Pak army saying that they were mujahedeen. Sab jagah jhoot and Lahori Churan! Ab to puri duniya ko sach pata hai

Wah Pakistan journalist's hypocrisy of an analogy that Pakistan army was brave in occupying hilltop positions which was left vacant and undefended and yet Pak army could not hold their position on hilltop or repulse the attack from advantage of the height and to the disadvantage of the Indian soldier who had to climb these well fortified hilltops and dislodge the Pak soldiers dressed up in burka (Mujahideens) who were firing from the hilltop.

One really needs to be so thick-skinned as to describe a stupid idiotic ridiculous crazy military move as 'brilliant' step to "free Kashmir" and imagining that the Indian forces won't fight back. The lady is lying through the teeth claiming that the political leadership didn't know what the failed army was planning on. In fact their then foreign secretary is on record of a meeting where Nawwaazz sherriff was assured of a quick solution to the Kashmir issue. When India foiled the attempt Nawwaazz took the easy way out and blamed Mushharraff who in turn put it on the govt. So the fight still continues even 25yrs.

Dear Naseem Zehra, plz read the Royal decree where it granted freedom to India wef AM 15 August 1947 and mentions in writing that Pakistan would become a separate nation thereafter. Rubbish Analysis....!!! It was not fighting to hold peaks!! The objective was to defend Skardu through Gilgit..!! Why don't India doesn't show any peaks won in 1999 till 25 years !!!! Kargil was a good operation which was handled badly at our end. Pak army managed to recapurte lost posts during 1971 war at Kargil, dras, batalik and chulung sectors. We also managed to recapture some key Indian posts and heights at siachen sector, lost earlier in 1984. Indians could only regain some posts at tiger hills, tololing ridge,chorbat la ridge and one post at Gyongla region at siachin sector. We are still sitting at Marpola , point 5353, dalunag 1 & 2, Bunker posts (sub sector west sia chin ) Ghulung pass (Overlooking Turtuk lost in 1971), Gyongla pass, highest point overlooking Balafond la, sedal post at Indracol, K12, Siala pass ridge posts since 1999 to date.

Actually Indian Army had to devise this plan, of faking the bravery of Col. Sher Khan, so that Pakistan starts to accept the bodies of their armymen and hence to prove that Kargil was planned by Pakistan and not a mujahid(terrorist) move.
