Rodrigo has a background in still-photography. He came up under the photographer, Nadine Marcova & I think this shows in his visual philosophy; especially with films like, Amores Perros, 21 Grams & Babel, where his shot by shot cinematography & knowledge about the emulsions in film had a precision that is often taught & learned through film photography.

I think you need to remove his thing from your mouth. Its disgusting how you sexualize another man and his accomplishments.

Loved your analysis of The Irishman Look through the decades. I didn't notice until now and it's a thing of beauty while still beeing obviously smart!

once again, very nice video on this cinematographer. I really enjoyed this series. Can you do one on Frederick Elmes ? (Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Broken Flowers, Coffee and Cigarettes...)

Can u do Drew Daniels/Dong Jinsong/Alexis Zabe/Robbie Ryan/Rob Hardy/Philippe Le Sourd/Adam Arkapaw/Hélène Louvart? I think they're doing some interesting work...

Some other DP's I'd recommend are John Seale, Robert Richardson, Claudio Miranda, Roger Pratt, and Peter Pau. P.S. He's done one on Robbie Ryan already (it just isn't on the series playlist, for some reason).

Why not? He's nowhere near my favorite (Christopher Doyle), but I think he's pretty good.

Any particular reasons? Do you disagree with his philosophies, or do you just find his shots "ugly?" Genuinely curious here because your comment is vague and seems unnecessarily harsh

I don't wanna be negative, I just am not impressed by his work. Usually I avoid the movies he DPd @@turbotaquitogoogle8095
