@granworks4 жыл бұрын
Ah, interesting! I had never heard the idiom "go pound salt" before. A google search turns up that while "go pound sand" the more common idiom, it is valid to use "salt" instead. It's possible that "sand" is more used in the Midwest and Western US while "salt" is more common on the East coast.

@granworks5 жыл бұрын
Quite a few people have said that in the comments. I can see a superficial resemblance as he does have similar facial hair to mine and if squint, he can resemble a much younger version of me. I think it's that slight resemblance that cause people to think he sounds like me, too. I have heard myself talk for countless hours while editing these videos and so I know exactly what I sound like... and no, Mr Beast doesn't sound very much like me at all. Without the similar facial hair, I don't think anybody would suggest that we sound alike.

Ok...I'd just like to say that I ordered The indestructible shoe...I didn't order it because I thought it was indestructible...I simply ordered it because my workplace requires you to wear a steel toe shoe..That being said...I was looking for a alternative to red wing shoes and sketchers and even wal mart brand ...all of those hurt my feet and are heavy...I usually come home limping because I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot. So mine arrived today and I wore them to work...I love them...usually when I get off work..the first thing I want to do is take off my shoes...but honestly didnt mind keeping them on today...they are really light and comfortable...So if you are reading this because your feet hurt and you need another steel toe option....try it out...I will say if you have a wide foot...this might not be your shoe...idk...just writing this because I was looking for this kind of review when I bought mine...

I owned a pair of these, held up about 6 months or so in an industrial construction setting, working 8-14 hours a day 6 days a week, I walked on everything from nails to rebar, a piece of rebar did manage to break the bottom kevlar protection but it did not go through, just bent part of it and made a crack where it clearly broke some. They did start to fall apart after the second month or so (The top of the steel toe coming off) but didn't start becoming unusable until 4-5 months in when the outter wall on the inside had been completely rubbed away and the plastic supporting the heel started stabbing me, I actually cut the part making contact with me away and continued to wear them until the steel toe started to fall out, the back of the heel split down the middle and started separating and the sole had large enough holes for dirt to seep into the shoe. Overall not bad at all, to compare I've purchased steel toe Skechers and Fila shoes for about the same price (I picked all 3 up for about 40-50 bucks each.) The Skechers fell apart right around the same time, and the Filas lasted a little longer but are starting to come apart now, I'm considering a pair of these until I can afford some higher end Twisted xs, for 25$ I'll get 4-6 months out of em, great deal. I've been paying 50 bucks or so for 6 month shoes.

I ordered a Pair for Woodworking in the garage. How well do you think they will hold up for only wearing in a Garage setting? Are my feet gonna hurt?
@granworks5 жыл бұрын
It depends on how long you are in the garage. The padding is not great, so expect sore feet after a couple of hours. Surprisingly, though, even though my pair was too narrow, my feet actually got used to the pinched feeling fairly quickly and that simply isn't an issue long-term -- it's just the poor cushioning that comes into play.
@mlj2575 жыл бұрын
@@granworks Would buying better insoles help?
@granworks5 жыл бұрын
Maybe. I'm not sure that a separate insole would fit. There isn't a conventional insole in it but rather just a thin fabric covered kevlar strip that cannot be removed. But if one did fit, then it would almost surely help.

This is a helpful video. You explained what's actually happening for a long time. You go to Instagram and see these super nice adds displaying products that seem like a good quality, and at the moment of looking at the add, you don't even find the price THAT intimidating because in your mind you are thinking about how you would buy these for someone you love and they would be happy, so you are on the edge of clicking the checkout button. Then a thought comes to mind: "hey, what about ebay and aliexpress, they must be having these types of products as well, at least similar". But then you check and see they are exactly the same, with the cost 3 or 4 or even 5 times lower. At that point I as a potential buyer lose confidence in quality of any products (even the expensive ones). Price does not mean quality, and these kind of ads on Instagram are not being helpful. However, the guy in this video was prettt convincing and I am going to order from Ali.

I got those shoes for like 15 euros. I think the sole is the best feature. The use of thick, flexible rubber and kevlar (?) insole is definitely a good idea. Even the quick lace is not that bad; it's way too long and falls to pieces if only you grab the plastic end, but it works surprisingly well in keeping the shoe on. The elephant in the room is the steel toe. it just shouldn't be there. A heavy, stiff point is really uncomfortable in a soft shoe like this, because the shoe doesn't keep you foot in place enough. I really feel an unpleasant pressure on the pinky, and sometimes it gets asleep. I think they should put some kind of light reinforcement instead of steel, or just remove it at all.

I ordered a pair of these shoes 9-9-2020. The per the delivery company, SF Express, stopped delivery as, “2020-9-15 01:01:05 Customer hasn’t pay off related fees. We will follow up.” I presumed the customer was Indestructable Shoes as they chose SF Express as the delivery company. When I contacted Indestructable Shoes the response was “I’m sorry to hear you are being asked to pay import/custom charges. Please note these charges are being imposed by your country, not by us.” OK, however, any such charges were not disclosed in the order process, there was no notification that delivery was being held for these fees, it was only discovered when I began to research tracking to find a delivery date and time for this purchase made 9-9-2020. Has anyone else had their delivery of shoes from this company stopped for these fees? Did Indestructable Shoes not know of the Import/Custom charges when they agreed to sell them to me? Do all seller/manufacturers not include these in the purchase price? I know we are all paying the tariffs, duties, custom fees on every imported product, dah, they are not punishment to the other country, US consumers pay them, however I have never seen a consumer being asked to pay these fees separate from the purchase price. BTW no one has told me the amount owed. No party has told me what it takes to complete delivery. I no longer care. I have filed a complaint with PayPal and Indestructable Shoes for a refund, this could takes many weeks. These look like great shoes if one could get a total purchase price and a completed delivery.

$25? Rather spend more for more reliability. Wouldn't bet my money on this protecting my toes from dropping 100lbs + from 2 or 3+ feet in the air.

It's funny you say that because my neighbor WAS working in his back yard when I was filming this. He didn't have any reaction, though, because this is far from the weirdest thing he's seen me do!

I feel like for that price with enough force the steel toe will slice your toes off
@granworks5 жыл бұрын
And enough force to collapse a steel toe will definitely be enough to completely flatten your toes without it

Think Dr Scholls gel inserts with arch support. I own these same shoes. Also, think about investing in Shoe Goo to fix the continued wear over time.
@granworks4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I ended up getting a pair of inserts that are twice the cost of the shoes! They really do work, though. And thanks for the Shoe Goo recommendation -- I'd never heard of that before.

@@granworks I learned about the product when I went to put toe caps on my steel toe shoes. Pitty I didn't learn about it earlier in my life. It works great for bonding things together.

Thx bro. Im going to order these. I do HVAC. Not as tough as other trades but I do need the steel toe and the slip resistance. I wonder how long does the sole last from regular wear and tear. I go through shoe soles like a fat boi at an all you can eat buffet. Let's see how long these last me.

Guys, please, first look for the safest shoes for your work. Do not count costs. A few days ago, a friend of mine, who worked for a garden company, a machine cut off his three toes. The doctors sewed them but they are still not sure if they will be able to "save" them. He has sent me photos from the hospital about how he is now. I do not wish this to happen even to my worst enemy. Two years before i used to cut one of my fingers very deep. I was very lucky. I suffered a lot but fortunately now it is fine.

You need to add that they do not conform to any safety standard as they have not gone through the testing to get the certification. This would mean liability would be void on insurance.

The reason of multiple conpany is dropshipping. The 25$ shoe could of been the original and people resell the shoe for higher prices for profit

Indestructible shoes llc is just a Chinese manufacturer drop shipper. When you order they place the order with the factory in China. It’ll take about 2 months to receive them.
