As a Bangladeshi I think Bangladeshis are not Anti-India at all. Bangladeshis are really upset by Indian foreign Policy to Bangladesh. Bangladeshi people specially Young people have been Experiencing that, Indian Government doesn’t care about Bangladeshi but Sheikh Hasina and Awami league party. India and its Media has been blatantly biased when it comes to Awami league and Hasina. Indian Govt and it intelligence agencies were known very well that, Hasina and Awami league's popularity got down to Bottom. India shouldn’t patronized Authoritarian govt. Last two election were heavily engineered. But India and its media were silent. That made Bangladeshi to think that India just care about Hasina and Awami Fascism. India and Bangladesh have lot of bilateral Issues such as water sharing, Transit trade gap many more. India is Major country in South Asia India should Act accordingly.

The truth is that you have not reconciled with the fact whether you wanted a separate country or not, the razakars think it was a game played by India to break Pakistan. Now the same razakars are back in power and are attacking the very people who were instrumental in creating Bangladesh, it is quite evident and in order to get public support you have created a enemy in India because they are kafir Hindus and we know nothing would unite the muslim ummah of Indian subcontinent by rallying against a kafir Hindus. Now when Indians saw this hatred for India which helped in creating Bangladesh and the love for Pakistan certainly the Indians feel betrayed and are now not holding back and so has the media. So wat are Bangladeshi complaining about now. India has its largest visa centre in the world in Bangladesh and has been giving 16 lakhs visas a year, was it not for the people of Bangladesh or was it for Sheikh Hasina people. India also haas trade deficit with china, so did India stop trade with them. If you want to seek the company of Pakistan a beggar nation, our best wishes. Pakistan thinks you can be a useful idiot for them against its game with India but remember India would hold back in responding to any acts of terror both in Bangladesh and Pakistan. Hope you are mindful of it.

As you are talking about the last two elections, but I want to say that it is not two elections but four elections like 2009, 2014, 2018 and finally 2024. All of us Bangladeshis have compromised that the 2009 elections were free and fair. Believe me that the 2009 elections were rigged by RAW. this man has very good discussion but we want to know, why today? why he has not discussed when hasina did one sided election in Bangladesh supported by India? oh, that was very sweet for indian, is't it? We have suffered a lot in the last 15 years. the reason only india. We hate India, now Pakistan will never attack us but India can attack. We Buy and eat not free. But your leaders say big things, or if you don't give us these potatoes and onions, we will die of starvation, and if you don't sell them to us, your people will die of starvation. Did Bangladesh make you a business area and make your state a security hub? You have given us nothing, just saying. Time speaks volumes. And now rumors are spreading against us. Are there no other journalists in the world in Bangladesh and are there no other newspapers or news channels in the world. If something like this was done in our country, wouldn't it come in the media of those countries, only in your media that we are oppressing Hindus. But the truth is that Bangladesh is a unique example of a country where Hindus, Muslims and people of other faiths live in communal harmony, which you have never been able to do.Hey, you are not sympathetic to your Hindu brothers, you are spreading false propaganda, making Bangladeshi Hindus and Muslims against each other, using Hindus, crying fish cry, creating security threats for them, spreading false propaganda here. And humanity is not in you at all. Sheikh Hasina shot and killed so many students and did not even criticize you. You have become a blind Hasina fan. Indians have benefited. And you gave shelter to Sheikh Hasina who killed so many people in this country. You gave shelter to the murderers. All the Awami League leaders of this country who committed atrocities are now studying in India and India is their godfather country.

@@AjitKumar-lo9yu 1. Open support for Hasina regime despite her vote rigging from the last two elections being an open secret. Some say India directly helped her in rigging the vote. 2. Supporting Hasina regime for the explicit purpose of unfair deals and treaties which support India more than Bangladesh. A notable example is the transit treaty and the port usage treaty, which gives India massive benefits, but comparatively has very low taxation rates which means Bangladesh can't earn as much as it should. This is despite the fact that Indian transports will use Bangladeshi roads and services to cross to North-East, which are already congested and unsuitable for our own population. 3. Many political enemies of Hasina who were abducted and "disappeared" later showed up in Indian jails and even mental asylums. Seems very strange for a sovereign nation right? 4. Direct Indian pressure to not develop our armed forces over the last 15 years. 5. The BDR mutiny which killed some of our best and brightest military officers and paved the way for Hasina's unchallenged 15 year rule is also rumored to be orchestrated by India. Some say its to neuter the Bangladesh armed forces, which was budding at the time, some say its revenge for the 2001 India-BD border skirmish. 6. Hasina had to take 'permission' from New Delhi to visit China. This was explicitly stated by the Home minister in Bangladesh at the time when Hasina was already in power. Another minister had the gall to say that our countries had a 'husband-wife' relationship. Coupled with the superiority complex that many Indians show on both the media and state level toward Bangladesh, it made it clear that our country was being treated as a colony under India in all but name. 7. The water sharing treaties are not being honored, even after raising the issue with India for the last 20 years under many regimes. 8. The shoot on sight behavior of the BSF on the Bangladesh border from a very long time, despite the two countries being on friendly terms all this time the BSF shot civilians at the border as if it was a state of war. Even children were not spared. You may say they are illegal smugglers, but that doesn't warrant such drastic measures. There are many more instances where India acts like a 'big-brother' to BD, you may think that's cute, but we don't want a big brother, we want a respectful neighbor. You can't act superior to someone for years and expect them to not resent you at one point. No one wants to be subservient, no matter what power difference there may be.

Lord Mountbatten had proposed the idea of an independent Bangla 🇧🇩, encompassing the territories of united Bengal and united Assam. Muhammad Ali Jinnah had expressed his consent to this plan, but Jawaharlal Nehru strongly opposed it, arguing against the creation of an independent Bangla separated from India. Consequently, Lord Mountbatten withdrew the proposal. Had Bangla become independent, it might have emerged as the third most populous country in the world. Regions like Arakan and the northeastern states of India, including Assam, Sikkim, and Bhutan, could have become part of Bangla 🇧🇩. The cultural, linguistic, and geographical differences between Bengali and Hindi-speaking regions highlight the distinct identities of these nations. Bangla should have been granted independence, similar to Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, and Burma, during the British era before the partition of India.

By that logic, even Pakistan is on land Jinnah begged from India....so technically that's ours too if we deny partition now.

The India Bangladesh relationship should be respectful and equitable. The problem has started with the Modi regime who has not been friendly to the neighbouring Nations and that's why one by one everyone's moving away from India. In the other hand Bangladesh is trying to revive SAARC to enhance the inter Nations trade and connectivity. Clearly India is divided by religion and caste but Bangladesh is United.

General Sahab, myself being the offspring of a General, I am always encouraged by the maturity of the officer core. Our neighborhood is small and it is imperative we learn to cooperate - China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan and the rest. Colonial powers will always put a wedge between us as the old adage divide and rule. Unfortunately Modi’s govt, the Godi media and RAW could not face the challenges and were extremely myopic in their dealings. I hope voices like yours will eventually rule our neighborhood. We hold no malice. I think you will agree the common man wants cordial relations everywhere. Thank you Sir. Respect

Sir, I am very impressed with your wise words and pragmatism. I wish all of India could think the way you are thinking. Most of the Bangladeshis are secular by nature and we have great cultural relations with India. People of Bangladesh was fed up with the misrule of Sheikh Hasina, and misappropriations of the electoral process. She and her party members were boasting about the unconditional support she used to enjoy from Delhi to do whatever nefarious acts they were doing would be supported by Delhi. This drove the anti Hasina anger to anti India anger and still India is blindly supporting her. Still there are a wide range of secular people who are against Hasina wish to engage with India and to have a meaningful relationship of cordial friendship and mutual understanding and prosperity. The disinformation spread by the godi media is ruining the good will we have for India in Bangladesh. Please keep engaging with all people of Bangladesh and come out of that mean communal narrative that Hindus are not safe in Bangladesh. By saying that you are making them more unsafe in the ground. Thank you once again!

Thanks for being logically. 1 thing I want to say BNP or Awami League was secular Party in Bangladesh and always they come to power. If India want to set anti Bangladeshi narrative then Naturally people support Jamaat Islami.

The people of Pakistan and Bangladesh tend to support secular parties during elections, while in India, voters often favor religiously extremist parties like the BJP and organizations such as Vishva Hindu Parishad. Politicians with religious affiliations, such as Gandhi, Narendra Modi, Yogi Adityanath, and Bal Thackeray, have found significant political success in India. In contrast, Pakistan and Bangladesh have historically elected leaders with diverse political visions, including Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Sheikh Hasina, Benazir Bhutto, Imran Khan, Khaleda Zia, and Nawaz Sharif, reflecting a preference for secular and progressive leadership.

After the Awami League came to power, there were thousands of attacks on Hindus, then India said that it is Bangladesh's own matter, why is it not its own matter now? I have found a person with a healthy mind. Who understands that we should not have relations with the Awami League but with the people of Bangladesh. After the Awami League came to power, there were thousands of attacks, then India said that it is Bangladesh's own matter, why is it not its own matter now? Why won't Bangladesh's relations with India deteriorate? 1) Stop killing people unjustly on the border (India killed an unarmed person on the Bangladesh border a few days ago, and then he entered the Bangladesh border a few days ago, and the Bangladesh border guard returned him) 2) The water agreement is based on fairness (During the flood, the dam was released without any prior signal, which resulted in the worst flood in Bangladesh's history) 3) India did not interfere in the Bangladesh elections (India alone gave legitimacy to the three illegal elections of the Awami League, and now your media is spreading propaganda) These are the main reasons why Bangladesh cannot see India If these are correct, then there is no reason to dislike India This dislike for India has started since 2010, that is, since the Awami League came

He doesn't seem to be swayed away by the emotion- charged and disinformation campaign being carried out from different quarters. He has the sagacity to feel the pulse of the lndo-Bangladesh cordial relationship since inception, unlike other media persons who have fallen victim to the fake and exaggerated news regarding the pathetic conditions of Hindus there. He looks well-informed, matured, farsighted general who presents things in the right perspective, keeping in mind the broader national interest rather than holding prejudiced, short-term, emotional and myopic opinion. Kudos to him for expressing his opinions based on logic, rationality and acumen.

We also want to have a good relationship with India but the relationship should be one of equality and the utmost respect for each other's sovereignty. I have many Hindu friends and I never feel that they are different from my 8-10 Muslim friends. India has more opportunities than Bangladesh. When they are told that you are a Hindu, you have many relatives in India, it costs a lot to go to another country from Bangladesh, it is better to go to India and make a passport and go to a good country at a low cost. They say they have been to India many times but you don't understand that the feeling of your own country is different. There are thousands of difficulties here. This is my country.

Your analysis of current issues seems great. As a Bangladeshi I would like to say that If India make It's foreign policies friendly to Bangladesh then India can rebuild it’s relations with Bangladesh. Not focus on a particular govt. but with the people of Bangladesh. In modern days "Big Brother" attitude is not applicable. This leads to hostility we don’t even acknowledge if Pakistan does it in military. Bangladesh can have more stronger military than Pakistan according to It's size of economy. So India should remove big brother attitude rather just stay as a friend. India should stop BSF on border killings they deteriorated 80% of friendly relations last decade. I appreciate your analysis with reality. I wish If India would be friendly like you.

When we gratefully thank and express our heartiest gratitude to India for their all-out help and support to our refugees, fighters, and the Bangladesh Government during our independent war, we humbly want to state the fact that we, the Bangladesh people, started our fight on March 26, 1971. India officially joined the war as an alliance on December 3, 1971, almost at the war's end. Before that, India trained our freedom fighters but was not engaged in battle. So, at best, it can be celebrated from your side as an alliance force victory. Our Bangladeshi army did a similar job in many countries. We deployed our force as a Kwait alliance against Iraq's invasion in the 90s. We are proud to be partners as peace keepers but never claimed that war was our own. My tribute to those thousands of Indian armies who fought and sacrificed their lives alongside our freedom fighters in 1971. We thank you for helping OUR fight to achieve OUR victory against Pakistan.
