Lets not overreact on every issue or event that triggers a clash between us and Chinese along our long border. And never overestimate own strength and capacity. Lets us also not mislead and be misinformed about facts on ground. Fact is that local bravado apart there is no wisdom in our picking up any major fight with Chinese. It is not what Chunese are looking for and least we should be . The LOAC is actually neither a line nor a discernable border. What we fail to hold on ground the Chinese just slip in and dig down. Time two sides sit down and fix an international border by mutually acceptable adjustments to what British handed over as parting present to us with 1918 Simla accord. India must not engage with China as a US proxy but on our own sovereign decision making taking people in confidence and educating our dumb and devious political class. Indian Military Veterans .

Nitin, This is silly. India reacts. IF India has to be taken seriously then China should not even THINK of Ladakh. What India is doing is a feather in the cap of the Indian Armed Forces. But a black mark in the IFS, political system - failure of Modi's FP. India needs to build her economy and armed forces.

@N Rao and how do you expect India to assert itself like you would like without that infrastructure and modern equipped forces? Dont get me wrong, I agree with you, but right now we do not have the capability. We can sure fight the Chinese and give them a bloody nose but it won't be without bruises on us as well. I belive in should bide its time, much like in 71' when Gen Sam Manekshaw argued to wait and prepare before launching the asault on then East Pakistan. I think we should wait, get stronger, prepare better and then we can think of taking the Chinese on more aggressively. But yeah in general we should be a bit more aggressive when it comes to such things. Diplomatic protest do little when you can't fully fight for your claim. As of now china will suffer if it goes to a war with india. But so will we. On paper atleast. Who knows, we might pull off a victory even now if war does take place

The excuse of bad infrastructure, etc has been squeezed out of all it's juice. Stop watching silly cricket, YOU go to the border with family/friends and solve problems. Do not wait for Mudi to act - he has driven the Indian economy into the ground. He can do very, very little. You get educated to solve problems not become rich, and certainly not work for foreign companies and expect India to improve. Not happening. NO foreigner wants India to improve. All they want is Indians spend money to make them rich (as Facebook and Google have done by "investing" in India - Jio and Air Tel) Wake up. Do not talk. Solve problems.
