Hello Palki....don't call them critiques. Why would not a genuine Indian question when 1. The ECI team itself is chosen by the BJP 2. They fail to send notice to PM for his hate speeches instead send it someone else. 3. They release the count of Phase 1 and 2 after several days and then do a disappearing act instead of responding to valid questions 4. Why do they complain about fake narratives now when they chose to remain silent when they should have been in action 5. Why did they accept their mistake of wrong voter count recently then? In democracy, a person in power is answerable. Unless it's like a Mr. T.N Seshan or Mr. Lavasa who knew very clearly what their roles are and never played partisan unlike these 3.

When they won Karnataka and Telangana Elections, No other parties including BJP did not complained about the EVMs. Only when they loose the battle they make a big hu and cry for malfunctioning of EVM. What kindly of Opposition party leaders we have. It was Congress who brought the EVM machine for Elections. 2014 election was conducted by Congress only but lost to NDA. SC should bring a strict order that any one complain about the EVM should prove for their claim, otherwise they have to pay 50Lakhs for wasting the Court time and spreading false message.

Do you think The ECI at present has the same standard of Mr. Seshan's days. In order to select a politically neutral; Commission our constitution provided for the inclusion of CJI in the selection Committee. Why Government remove CJI from the selection Comm,ittee.. Why two Election Commissioners resigned just before the election. People should consciously answer the questions and put forth to those doing all this. It is not fair to blame the people by calling for Press conferences. Need for conscious self search by every one.

Well i might have agreed with you if and only if the issue was addressed for a scapegoat but, Russia has flagged US for trying to interfere in indian elections. They also tried to interfere in Bangladesh elections as well. It is not something new and was done in many countries that posed a threat to them. Though it may not need be the only reason. Actual cases may have been addressed as well. But from ECI's perspective in a country where for a long time elections were under threat due to muscle power and money power I think it might be a bit baffling to address this many complaints which to be honest are not an immediate threat to the sovereignity of elections. Might be comparable to when a person goes to police station to register a case against someone who teased him and now the intensity of teasing depends on your imagination but the officer was trained for catching dangerous criminals. For them it would be a little annoying. Doesn't justify inaction but can be understandable. They have their commitments but they are humans as well.
