ISL players are often overvalued and excessively hyped. It's a disgrace that a nation with a population of 1.3 billion can't even defeat Afghanistan. What is the purpose of investing in the ISL if, after a decade, we still can't develop a team capable of competing with a nation like Afghanistan? Me as a bengali , we bengali people support Indian football since 1860 . I play this sport from my childhood always love this sport more than any other sport. I watch european league matches and also support my club Mohunbagan watch al matches and as well Indian team but truth is Indian football can't never grow their is no Vision right now in Indian football Vision means we literally don't have a sjngle world class academy, we literally doesn't have 100 afc pro coaches we have afc pro coaches I think 14 or something . Why I saying these because our players are not good technically, football iq wise also they literally doesn't know when to pass ,when to make a turn to beat the press when to through the ball when to make run behind defense, hoe to create space by positioning in free spaces by continuously moving in spaces I know these coach is not good need to be sacked way before but the ultimate truth no manager will make us to go and play wc with these player who doesn't know basic football

We Indians do not have good body structure and stamina compared to the other countries and it's very important for us to learn from other countries which are similar to us in terms of body structure. Why are we lacking open play goals . It's the problem since so many years .honestly possession based football which stimac emphasises will not work if we don't play with intent . Honestly while in possession we lose patience and chemistry which is our weakness. We don't have that much patience and team chemistry just like man City has. Many city trains together for almost 9-10 months that's why they prefer such game style.we also can't play titi taka becoz we lack those creativity, dribbling, one two one quick passes , smooth touches, turns, getting perfect through balls. Wing game not works becoz our wings and wing backs can't deliver quality crosses, even if they do we lack the physicality required to overcome defender's man marking to score the headers. Long ball doesn't work again because of physical inability. Defending and counter will fail since we don't have fast bursting agile players. I really doubt if our wingers can take one on one ,dribble past one or two defenders and get into the dangerous areas, every team has that like mbappe for France, leao for Portugal, doku for Belgium, grealish for England. Overall a shitty team , gives false promises and dissapoints us every possible way, fed up supporting this national team, better to include Indian origin players playing competitive leagues across Europe and American, ISL will not help.
