Yes, that made for a great piece of TV. Just watching him get around the lip edge with no harness or anything, sends shivers down your spine.

It is a beautiful structure. Sadly the late great Fred dibnah is no longer around to look after our ageing chimneys. ☹️

@@petergalloway7978 Hi Peter, that's incredible. I bet he had some stories to tell. It's a shame parts haven't been left and opened up to the public like Quarry Bank Mill. This chimney is certainly one of the best preserved in the country. I'm just so glad I got the opportunity to fly and capture it. Glad you liked the video, thanks for sharing. Del👍

@@ladyintheskyuk One of my aims when I set up my channel. Was to capture these images and preserve them for future generations.

@@robharding5345 Hi Rob, it certainly is. And it's great to think it has stood the test of time. It was one of only a few remaining chimneys that the late Fred dibnah worked on. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for stopping by, Del👍

What drone did you use for this?

Hi John, it's the DJI mini 3 pro. 👍

Are all your videos done on a Mini 3 Pro? Thanks
@LandmarkAerialDronePhotography Жыл бұрын
@@aspectmedia-uk Hi John, no. The last four videos where. Prior to that it was with the mini 2. And what a drone that was, highly recommend the mini 2 as a great beginners drone. 👍

@@LandmarkAerialDronePhotography thank YOU for the video. Much appreciated. From Ulster, I am old enough to have watched Fred's shows on their first screenings. This particular chimney was the most frightening viewing. Going around that edge, especially, at the top, was scary. Even when I watch it all these years later, I am still scared that Fred will slip. Best regards. On top of chimneys, with the strong wind, his cigarette would be burned gone in no time. I loved his working man's perspective.

@@PuffyClouds-q2t you are very welcome, I hope you find my videos of interest. I myself was brought up Fred and watched all of his shows back in the day. The episode showing this chimney and how he negotiated the overhang is so scary. Like you say the amount of things he did without harnesses or anything is just amazing. There was no one like Fred, and there will never be anyone like him again. Thanks again for stopping by, please feel free to share. Thank you. Del👍
