You will get complete maps on Google Maps. Also every train has a map inside above the doors and the stations have maps near the ticketing counter mostly or as usual you can ask any local person, who would be delighted to help you find one.

Soon after I made that video I discovered the ones available on Google Maps. They were very helpful. However, the maps inside the trains are not very helpful if you don't know which train you're supposed to be on. By the time you're on the train it's too late.

Wow, great production quality. South India could really be its own country. In some ways it's vastly different to North and Northeastern India. In fact, the restaurant you visited was reminiscent of mamak or curry leaf restaurants in Malaysia.

You're right about south India as a separate place. I visited 4 cities over the entire trip and each one was different from the rest. India is much too large for the amount of time I had there. When I go back I'll have to narrow my destinations.

LOL !... Chennai is very different from rest of South India, you will come to know once you enter inside any lane , even North Indian cities such as Gurgaon, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Indore are far better in cleanliness and more modern

When we went to Malacca we went into a small mamak, well off the tourist path, - were given a menu, a banana leaf each and a smile. Great food and curious glances by other customers as we ate like monkeys at a zoo!! After a lovely meal and yellow fingers, we exited the mamak into the wettest, warmest, torrent of water from the sky we've ever seen. Needless to say the shower was over in 30 mins. Happy memories.

I always favor vegetarian Indian food because I never know what I'm really eating. But I figure if it's vegetarian then at least I'm not getting some kind of exotic meat or choking on a stray bone. Regardless or my somewhat immature eating habits, Indian food is one of my favorites.

Chennai traffic is hectic. Stick to metro or local trains. Use taxi applications if you find buses not to your liking. But first buy an umbrella. People might take a peak at you for using an umbrella on a sunny day here but who cares its our skin thats burning.

I soon got used to Chennai traffic, sort of. But the first day was a real shock.
