Hou Yifan has achieved absolutely everything possible in women's chess and has now retired from her full-time chess career, playing more for fun when she feels like it and focusing mostly on her job. Although she now plays tournaments once every few months and doesn't spend as much time preparing as she used to, she still remains the clear leader in the rating, with a huge points advantage over the next player. She became the youngest woman to hold a GM title at 14 and the youngest world champion at 16. Over the years, none of the contenders have been able to beat her. She is still very young and at 29 she will still be able to return to professional chess if she feels like it, at this age a chess player's brain is still working very well. But now it's just fun for her and she has every right to treat it that way. She is the absolute chess queen among women.
