basic issue is of litigation and compension which slows down installation. In China this situation does not exist, as the govt can launch massive projects quickly. Also continuity in agenda of politics and politicians matters on infrastructure cost issues, as loans taken for various projects has to be paid off. Imagine one ruling party building infrastructure for some years and another diluting fiscal compliance by not doing maintenance and announcing tariff reductions or free access after becoming the ruling party. Let alone infrastructure lost to violence and riots . This cycle cannot be sustained by any country. Its easy to build 10km road for the first time and get appreciated, the maintenance aspects of it for the next few decades is dependent on the subsequent planning , economic health and honesty in the society using the road.

@todieforinlove6 ай бұрын
This is a one sided report. 1. Instead of expanding airport infrastructure and rapid construction of new airports, the government is interfering with airline operations. Airlines are also customers of airports, they are given slots by airports and when airport operator doesn't meet its obligation of slots ,parking bays etc the delays caused is passed to the passengers. The goverment must ensure rapid airport construction in and around high capacity airports like Delhi, Bombay and new high capacity airports in places like Pune, Goa etc. 2. Penalising the airlines can be effective only if airlines are first able to sufficiently man their vacant posts of baggage handlers, commercial, cockpit and cabin crew. While airlines are squeezing it's man power to exhaustion for improving their so called bottom line operations cost, no government intervention exists is addressing this issue, which is leading to high fatigue in the industry leading to delays due shortage of man power. This ofcourse is also a reason for delays. 3. The government also doesn't address the long security queues at the airport. Some idiotic rules like matchbox and lighters cause delays in security scans. I don't blame the CISF staff, as they are only following the law, but when USA, a country where 911 happened can allow matches and lighters on person, why can't India. Take steps to remove ludicrous rules and see quick security clearance, thereby reducing passanger delays.
