India’s capital has choked on toxic fumes as a thick haze spread from a fire at a landfill, the latest in a series of junkyard blazes that authorities have struggled for years to bring under control. The fire at the capital’s largest landfill had largely been put out by Tuesday, but people living nearby have complained of throat and eye irritation.
