The ET also reported that Delhi also postponed a meeting of the joint working group on culture with Ukraine in the backdrop of the incident. This just proves your PM is naive or totally clueless. What would Russia's solution have been? Russia never wanted this. Putin himself asked both Boris Johnson and Biden in late 2021 for security guarantees and both of them ignored him. When he was still willing to negotiate for peace in 2022, Boris Johnson himself ordered Zelensky not to accept any deals with Putin. If Russia had simply left Ukraine alone while it was being trained and armed by US-NATO, Russia would now be at the mercy of the US with all its oil under Murican control.

India alongside China also one of the biggest importers of Russian oil! Even many in West importing through middle men 3rd parties! Europe is still not independent of Russia in terms of its energy needs! Ukraine was once getting paid for Russian gas transmission to Europe whilst fighting Russia. Had Zelensky agreed to remain a non militarised buffer zone between Russia and EU/NATO, it wouldn't have been invaded in first place!

It is quite clear that you don't have the whole story. When the USSR was dismantled by president Gorbachev in 1989, all Eastern Europe countries became independent which includes Ukraine. Because Ukraine was at this time run by a Russian puppet, it took the 1994 Ukrainian pacific demonstration to get rid of him and his administration which was handled by Russians only which were all set in place by the Ukrainian oligarchs. Then election came and Zelenski became the first "independent free election" president. Several reports shown that demonstrations against the falling standard of living were also held across Ukraine in 1994. The 1994 "Revolution of Dignity" had spoken at the next election when Zelenski became president. He fired the Russians who were the heads of departments and replaced them with Ukrainians who all had university degrees but were not in relation to Russian propagandists nor oligarchs. Then Russia invaded Ukraine with the excuse that it needed to get rid of nazis which was a bold lie as Putin's only reason was to annex Ukraine back to Russia which is the reason why Putin wanted Ukraine to demilitarize. If Putin wants a buffer zone, he has the opportunity to do it on his own territory. As far as energy is concerned, Europe does not need Russian natural gas nor its oil. Because Ukraine was asking a fee for the transportation by pipelines of gas and oil on its territory, Russia decided to build its Nordstream pipelines which are close now and will remain close. Europe found natural gas and oil from other suppliers. Though Europe bought refined oil from India they did not know at first where the crude oil was coming from but stopped buying oil from India as soon as they discovered the truth. Both the EU and USA are now suing the India's refineries involved in this B.S. You have the pretension of being a "reformer" Mr. Ahmed Suleman, you are quite far from becoming one when we read your falsely based comment.

If you read the resolution which has only 3 pages, it is the work of several meetings that started in year 2000. A draft of such a Resolution is prepared and adopted by the Committee of Ministers in Strasbourg. Indian Russia people to share a warm sentiments towards eachother and if some one asks whom do you trust? The answer is Russia and India. As far as China is concerned, Russia needs both today but Russia too knows China's not to be trusted blindfolded like it does with India. As far as War is concerned China today won't even dare to attack India and India has the ability & courage to stand against China. US too knows it & so India today is in the Intrest of the west.

The world is changing, and there is no longer such a thing as "national interest", that is not embroiled in "global interest/affiliation" - especially for a country as big as India. After colonial rule, India spent many years "in the shadow" so to speak, but now seems to flex its muscles to take a part of the World Stage. Fine by me, but along with greater power and influence comes the need and pressure to take greater responsibility. You cannot send rockets to the Moon, meet with World leaders, grow industry and global influence, and at the same time bow your head and refuse to "take sides" due to "national interest". It is an in-born fallacy; With greater power (that all nations want) comes the inevitable greater responsibility. There is no way around it. With power comes influence and the inevitable call for responsibility. No way to avoid it. For now it seems, that India wants to "milk both cows", to stay neutral and have reasonably good relations with both BRICS/ruzzia and the West, but in the end, you'll be called out: You can only play both sides for so long, until you'll be seen as opportunistic hypocrites by the other world leaders. It can work for smaller, more "insignificant" countries, but not for a country of India's size and significance, especially given Indias "claim to fame" on the world stage - and certainly not forever! Not if you want to be taken seriously.

He should first abandon he NATO joining ambition. Then he should request India to intervene and have peace talk with Putin to stop the war. Once things get normal he should immediately resign. Zelensky is highly corrupt person. He has earned billions in this war. (BTW Ukraine is one of the most corrupt country). He should enjoy money he has malfeasance.
