The 1971 war gets quite interesting in terms of equipment alone. Both Pakistan (and by extension, the Bangladeshi rebels) and India had equipment from the Brits, Americans and the Soviets as well as whatever else they could buy. It wouldn't be surprising to see a T-55 escorted by troops with SLRs.
@asakurayoh39099 ай бұрын
None of the Indian equipment was from America. America was supporting Pakistan in 1971. Even the Pakistan submarine PNS Gazi that Indian navy sunk was American.

Interesting that they'd make a full mission out of the sinking of PNS Ghazi: the whole thing was "Found submarine outside harbor as we left: depth charged, believed sunk." there's still some debate as to what happened (the Ghazi was supposed to be waiting outside to ambush the carrier Vikrant as it left for operations against Bangladesh, but there's some debate as to whether or not India knew it was there and laid a trap for it. the wreck does look like it got rammed by something...)

Loved the video @Rimmy Downunder! Can't wait for the next video man! The Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 is an Interesting one for the Books, almost like the 1969 Football War between El Salvador and Honduras..... Except nobody was Fighting because the final straw was someone losing to a Game of American Soccer. The Pakistani Air Force had Martin B-57 Canberra Bombers from the United States of America and Made use of them in both the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pakistani Wars. 3 Canberra's were lost in the 1965 War and 5 in the 1971 War. India, on the other hand, was using Ships and Vehicles like World War Two Period Armoured Cars it had Purchased by Britain. Ships like the Type 14 Frigates (Aka the Blackwood-class Frigates) and Armoured Cars like the Diamler's were used by India against Pakistani Forces. Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video man!
