Varanasi is not even in the top 10 oldest cities. The oldest is Damascus, Syria.

@@ashutoshgiri1 Varanasi is special cuz its culture is almost same from many years. Hinduism is in varanasi from very start and today also hinduism is as it is. Meanwhile syria today is mostly islamic, so it has changed lot from what it was 11000 bc. All humans migrated from africa so Indians too migrated from africa to middle east to India and settled near sindhu river. And it begin start of religion that we know today as hinduism cuz arabs called people living near sindhu river as hindu. You can find statue and symbol related to hinduism in middle east.

@@ashutoshgiri1 Varanasi is continuously populated by large population since it is continuous and destroyed and rebuild again there won't much you will found there except the oral traditions and it is even mentioned in Ramayana and Mahabharat which are our itihasas, ancient people do not lie before the time of Momo(7th Century) Ramayana is any day greater than 11000BCE.

why you are avoiding ganga water it is one of the purest holy water. If you kept ganga water for years in any container in house the ganga water did not Spoilage and The scientific reason is that water of river Ganga is naturally having bacteriophages, which do not allow bacterial growth. The high levels of dissolved oxygen in the Ganges River help prevent the growth of bacteria but the Ganges River faces pollution challenges due to the discharge of untreated sewage, industrial waste, and agricultural runoff. This pollution has affected the health and cleanliness of the river. However the ganga water did not Spoilage for coming centuries if government continue the Namami Gange Programme for long-term visions for Ganga rejuvenation.

Caste was based upon what work you do The present caste system was thanks to the Britishers and Muslims invaders before their invasion of ancient India caste was based on work which later changed when invaders entered and the present caste system is based upon that. @@abhigupta178 please don't mix other beliefs with our Sanatan Dharm, abrahmic beliefs find marriage as contract which actually get proven by low success rate of their marital relationships, Islam considered women as object , a field to get plough, a machine to create babies not more than that, whereas Sanatan taught us to treat women as goddess, with ultimate respect , we consider them as Devi who protect our families. Sanatan never allowed to force anyone to convert, which christian and muslims already doing here in India, Hindus devotees are free to worship gods in different cosmic forms, Sanatan Dharm is basis of universal , planetry, cosmic, astronomical changes occurring in nature, it gave Ayurveda , most ancient and scientific treatment methodology indentifying the uses of medicinal herbs, kriyas around Human life . water of ganga will remain fresh forever it does not develop bacteria, if you take some water in a bottle(little further away from shore) and let it rest all the mud will sattle down and you can transfer that water to some other bottle, you will see it remains fresh.

There are so many pathogens and bacterias in it....Just looks at studies and there are enough videos as well. The purest water of Ganga is in the Himalayas and not at Varanasi.
