Just one insight Gaurav. Blocking causes rain not drought. Actually this is the reason we have more rain in cherapunji and Mausinram. Because of garo khasi and jayantiya blocking the condensed moistured air coming from bay of bengal. Aravali let high pressure air passes which comes from arabian sea rather than blocking and letting rain happen there.Please correct me if I am wrong

We visited Jaisalmer in Sep.2024 and roamed a lot in remote areas and the Thar desert is itself turning green. We saw a lot of people farming. Some of that is due to Indira Canal but a lot of it is also due to the rains and plenty of rainwater.

Turning thar desert into jungle is a good idea,it will reverse the global warming effects but I feel like as if it is not because if thar desert turns into a jungle then it will be easy for terrorist to hide in there and also for those people who cross Rajasthan Pakistan border illegally. You see thar desert is one of the most big and hot desert in the world and it is extremely hard to survive there+no one can hide in the plain desert of thar+it will be almost impossible to cross Rajasthan Pakistan border illegally. If thar desert turns into a jungle then most probably terrorist and other criminals will use it for there advantage because it will give them good cover than a plain desert also it will be easy for them to survive in there making themselves pretty big threat for our Indian soldiers and for our country aswell.
