I have lived in both north an south...this narrative that the 'south' is somehow years ahead of north in econmoy, education and pretty much everything is kind of a hyperbole. Firstly, the north is much bigger and populated then south which naturally makes it harder. also the gap isn't as much as people like to believe. The infrastructre of northern cities outclasses southern ones...also it's mainly Bengal and bihar that mess up northern states growth. UP's Hdi is low but I have been to all these 3 states an UP's cities are growing rapidly in past few years, theres a mercantalist sentiment there unlike before so... it will likely gro a lot in coming years. Also, having international seaports brings a trading sentiment hich greatly benifited states like karnataka, tamil nau.

AIM says something interesting on Bengal (at the 1hr. 11min. mark) that I have not heard anyone else say lately (but was common knowledge when we were young). He didn't tell you though how that came about. Western knowledge introduced by the British. Do you know there is a tunnel connecting Kolkata and Howrah underneath the Ganges built by the CESC in the 1920s, in which one can walk or the first person born in India to get Nobel (1902) did his work in Kolkata (Ross on Malaria) or that the theory of Relativity was translated from German to English first in the World by two Indians in Kolkata? I agree with the points he made and I know it is negative. Consequently, I offer a solution: reduce the red tape by half and then by another half and export. That's the cheapest solution but it goes against Modi's nature and the self-interest of the bureaucrats. Experiment with the Northeast (Assam and all parts East of Assam). My guess it has the least local red tape. It may even stop China from attacking that part when it finds investments from multinationals from the US, Europe, UK, and Japan in that area.

A high-income economy is defined by the World Bank as a nation with a gross national income per capita of US$12,536 or more in 2019, calculated using the Atlas method. While the term "high-income" is often used interchangeably with "First World" and "developed country", the technical definitions of these terms differ. 2500 dollars left

“Catching up with China” will be a wrong goal. As long as India can keep focusing on bettering itself, it would suffice. America developed, and then plateaued. Japan developed and plateaued. China is about to reach that plateau as well. It seems to be built in to law of nature. As long as India can focus on right economic policies and not make mistakes made by others, it should be fine. Most people don’t dream about having a living standard that exists in west. They will happily live in their own motherland, as long as their life keeps improving. So decade by decade, if India keeps improving, it will be sufficient.

To summarize what aim said ill give an eg. In lockdown the government schools are hardly functional even though the teachers are paid really well but most of the private schools within a fortnight created the complete online teaching infrastructure with out any gov support and our gov and courts instead to giving them a carrot gave them only sticks by telling them to reduce their fees by 30 to 50%. So gov wont give any discounts on ur tax bt will tell dictate terms with private sector.. same happened with hotel n tourism sector, Malls etc etc. Biggest vidambna is we dont have change the govt option.

The bottom 30% will always need free stuff, and a political party in a first past the post system will always need a voter base, so welfare will always be a thing. That isn't too bad, too. You need investment in social goods for a society to progress. There is no way India can ever get rid of socialism. So, we have to make it work for us. By investing in education and health. People who don't have even the basics can't be expected to be entrepreneurial and creative. So, give the people the basics. Give then some money too, because the money in the hands of the poor gets spent, and that keeps demand for goods hugh, and boosts the economy. But don't make the ENTIRE thing socialist. Allow the middle class, or better still, force the middle class to get entrepreneurial. Don't give jobs to people. Give then opportunities instead. For the top 30%, give them access to the best in education and healthcare for a price. Let the market give then the best, but let these be for a market price. Benchmark the top 10% with the best in the world. Don't clip the wings of the winners. Rather, give then wings. Feed the poor, but don't shame the rich. The rich aren't responsible for the poverty of the poor. Stop making the rich the villains. There's no exploitation. There's only market forces at work. Never redistribute. Never get all communist. Serve the poor, but don't stifle the rich. The engine at the front should pull forward. The load at the back shouldn't hold back. The middle mustn't slosh around, it must be stable. That's the way forward. I think. Let the animal spirits soar, but don't make it a jungle. Let there be compassion for the poor, but let the passion for great things and a good life be a desirable, actually, a celebrated thing too. For all the dirt that's heaped upon the economics of the present ruling dispensation, I think it got the mix just right. Nal se Jal hoga Aur Reliance aur Ambani bhi Midday meals hoga Aur Mutual Funds bhi Free vaccines honge Aur profitable pharma companies bhi That's the way to go Just like we are, now We just need to keep tweaking and fine-tuning this in line with the election cycle, and going full throttle whenever the road is wide and straight Slowing down when there are bends and bumps in the path of the world economy does result in momentary slowdowns every now and then But what matters is, whenever we happen to hit a good stretch on our way forward, are we hitting it full throttle? Going by the recent Reliance AGM, for instance, I think we are.

Focus on technical education to innovate and boost manufacturing, copy China and enforce discipline. Not advice, but be practical, then think about Brahman. If the stomach is not filled brain loses clarity. India will be stuck up. Sanskritise Hindi and revamp politics and judiciary based on Vedas thus using accumulated wisdom.

That is the reason we call Pakistanis uneducated. First step of the UN resolution is for Pakistan army to withdraw to Aug 1947 line, so vacate Occupied Kashmir first.
