The problem with these portals is they never talk to people who disagree with them. Just constant f*** ego massages by talking to their own. Where is the intellectual debate? where is the argument? It is easy to talk to ppl who already agree with you. Anyone can do that. They are just trying to numb ppl down by constantly making content what ppl already believe. They are reducing the nuance. Even before they open their mouth on a topic you know what direction they are going to take. What's the fun in that? Same goes for the portals like opindia and swarajya. Everybody knows that opindia has peddled fake news but because they publish things for your side, you let that go. Isn't that just like drugs? They make you believe everything is the other side's fault. How is that making people smart? Hindu muslim issue chod ke koi baat hi nahi hai. Topics as harmless as petrol rise where there is clear issue that ppl are facing is not even mentioned on these portals. How is that helping ppl/hindus? Not one f***g issue that normal working class people face. not one. Why is the working class tolerating their non-sense? If someone wants you to forget your real problems, they give you drugs/distraction. opindia and Swarajya is that drug. The other side has wire and quint for that. There is no f*** difference.

Gujarat information is not complete. They did not use sugar but jaggery. It was because soil had some mineral that was not good for health. (I think it is lead but I am not sure) jaggery was used to counter its effect. hence, jaggery was used which is now replaced by sugar.

@@jigggro Yes that's correct. The other misunderstanding people have is that even in Kathiawar only merchant jatis ate sweet food. Villagers again ate spicy. Fresh vegetables are still used for shaak but there is a limit on the variety (not as much as S. Gujarat) even though Kathiawar isn't as dry or unfertile as it's made out to be and again bajra jowar were the main carbs as you pointed out. That's why you see recipes like undhiyu in South Gujarat but you also see Ghuto in Saurashtra. The other big diffentiating factor is dairy. Here’s the problem with the breakfast situation in India (and elsewhere): traditional breakfast ( parathas, dosas, side dishes that go with these things, idli, chutneys etc) take so much time and energy that it is just not practical to prepare first thing in morning for entire family when everyone is employed and needs to jump onto 9 a.m meetings! Cereals come as “fast breakfast” option and a similar nutritional value as fast food. Our mums were home makers and could somehow manage preparing delicious traditional healthy breakfast when we were growing up. But for us to spend an hour (or more) every morning in preparing food (+ eating, getting kids ready for school, us getting ready for office/homeworking) is just impossible! My personal fav: prepare chopped veggies the night before and make quick and healthy veg-heavy omelette for the family in the morning. The problem? Omelette every morning will push your family to the very edge soon enough 😂

Jain food is more like traditional Indian food without garlic onion etc..so simple
@ankitait23 жыл бұрын
Modern day jain meals have a tonne of butter and cheese. Part of the reason they Jains are at major risk of diabetes.
@artwithhj29173 жыл бұрын
@@ankitait2 Still that depends how modern they are..coz mostly traditional jain family don't include processed or packed food items..and don't even eat achar or papad if it's stored for more than a month or week.
@ankitait23 жыл бұрын
@UCIIKRjTUhDest8p_l-AFKYw true enough, traditional jain dadajis would not even eat post sundown. But it is changing, and changing fast. Dominoes has a jain only pizza outlet in Mumbai, where the rich jains live.
@artwithhj29173 жыл бұрын
But still jains have done enough to have specially "jain-food" across Indian restaurants. That's what a community power or consumer power does

AIMji, Gujarati cuisine ko aapne shaayad discover nahi kiyaa itnaa. Of course mithaa khaana hotaa hai, but ye ek minority me hai. Interiors me authentic aapko Gujarati cuisine try karnaa chahiye. I am sure you would love it. Gujarat has a diverse range in cuisine. You would love it. Big love AIMji, as always.

We in Himachal never mix dairy and meat
@AnuragSinha73 жыл бұрын
In Bihar; we also we don't mix cow's products in our non-veg food. It's a Delhi side tradition and people are picking it up slowly slowly. We can't even think of mix milk or curd with fish which malyalee do all the time.
@sheetalverma89403 жыл бұрын
Delhi nahi yaar punjabi tradition hai even haryanvis dont do this. The punjabis began this cooking meat in ghee and all. Nobody does this traditionally in the rest of north india but the punjabis. Its a fact nobody can deny.
@kanikakanika83772 жыл бұрын

I agree with AIM on the food part, fortunately in my family most of us despise a lot of spices. So it's better, but I enjoy having a meal in temple for anything, it's pretty pleasant on stomach, food is a lot tasty and the best thing no onion, garlic, raddish, chilli or tomato. The best food that I can think of. It's all roots, unpealed potato palya (it's dry, so not sabzi and almost bland), and the kosambri (Indian salad), payasa, huli (sambar), saar (rasam), AIM just stimulated my taste buds lol

What is this bullshit about wedding getting conducted in night!? I have heard this a lot but we in Bihar and east UP never allow wedding happen in night. It's always happens in morning; only Jayamala/Varmala happens in night which is not wedding ritual. It's pre ritual before wedding.
