Muslim rule was based on decimation of local culture - Hindu, Buddhist, Jain etc.

Buddhist and Jains were decimated by Hindu Kings and Hindu religious class far before the Mughals or Turks came to India. There are many Stupas which were converted into Hindu temples. Buddhists and Jains on the other hand prospered under the Turkik and Mughal rule. They brought justice into India. Socially backward classes were uplifted for the first time. It was only under sultanate rule that Malik kafur an untouchable Indian was promoted to the highest rank.
