Impeccable logic, integrity, and courage to carry forward the logical thought. Not to mention his prose which has no comparison, Naipaul is one of the greatest writer of fiction and non fiction of all time.

Strangely enough he was more in touch with the real India than Indians who are educated in our modern school system and grow up in cities. We are so rootless because of our borrowed systems of governance, judiciary and education that we are doomed as an independent and creative civilisation.

The change began from the time of amar chitra katha and br Chopra's mahabharat to thousand little or great contributions on our civilization in a new way, as though a renaissance has begun, that litter the time span between this day and the days when one couldn't be heard of saying he's proud of where he comes from
