For those wondering, at 6:45 it's a Divi Divi Tree (botanical name Libidibia coriaria) Its native to Central America, and the Caribbean. That forest is awesome!

Thank you for this information. I now know why people in India call it -' Divi Divi' - sounds like 'Libidibia'.

@@peterchan3100 of course good sir. The leaves are super small and naturally get windswept because they grow close to beaches. Might be a cool windswept penjing to make one day.

Mind blowing trees we could not cultivate in the U.K. wonderful to see them, hope they get better at selling their trees, it would have been useful to know how many men work in the nursery.

Am from north east India. I do really like bonsai, but not yet very experienced at it. Most of the thing that I learn is from your KZbin channel. And like to learn more, especially from India. Especially type of bonsai soil mixture that's compatible here in india and that can be found easily in India.

Good trees, a very large and impressive collection. usually see plants with topiary work being passed out as bonsais in nursery's in India.

Clip, clip here. Clip, clip there... You give the roughest bonsai that certain air of savoir-faire in the merry 'ole land of India. Pat, pat here, Pat, pat there, and a couple of brand new wires. That's how he keeps them young and fair In the Merry Old Land of Peter's.

exciting stuff. best bit was when you went to work on that tree and turned it from an out of control bush to a beautiful tree that I could stare at for hours.

Roots growing in soil underneath the pots in containers????? Isnt that 'cheating'? Are the roots ever cut and the bonsai just in it's container alone?

Not cheating its similar to field grown just easier to "dig up" and move when you need too

Very nice, I must say I do like cool/temperate climate bonsais much more. These tropical varieties don't do much for me.

Many of the ancient traditions of China were said to have originated in India, Confucius and Yoga among them. Was bonsai also in this category Sifu Chan?

None - you need a licence to import trees from India and I dont think our ministry will allow trees from India. Very complicated importing trees to different countries.

This trick of growling over large tubs is also done extensively in Indonesia. Feel strange to learn about this Indian bonsai nursery from you 😂. Why did you edit out the root over rock poly house ?

Buying trees from another country is not as easy as buying a shirt or a gadget for your phone. It needs a licence etc

@@peterchan3100 not necessarily, I have purchased Baobab tree's from Madagascar and they had to go through a quarantine period. I still have them.
