One tip I can give you for a long marriage is to each write down a list of all the house hold chores. Make the list together of everything that has to get done around the house. . Then each of you look at that list and write down which of the chores you hate and then your spouse do the same. When you both go over the list I bet you each have tasks that you hate but that doesn't bother your spouse and vise versa. I hate doing the laundry but I don't mind folding the clothes and putting them away. I hate to mow the lawn but I don't mind taking the trash out or doing the dishes. This simple tip was given to us by our pastor before we got married and he said swapping chores with eachother made his marriage better with his wife and it made our life so much better. We never feel like we are forced to do chores anymore and it makes us feel like a team.
@indiabatson262 жыл бұрын
I LOVE THIS TIP SO MUCH. Daniel and I at the beginning of our marriage agreed I’d do laundry bc I don’t mind it and he would do dishes bc he doesn’t mind it. BUT we didn’t discuss the trash, the recycling, walking the dog etc. And that led to some arguments early on. I love this idea !

@@indiabatson26 We have been happily married for 10 years in December. That tip really works because like I said you don't feel forced into doing chores you hate and It really makes you feel like a team. It really is true, "Team Work Makes The Dream Work" Thanks so much for posting your videos... they have helped me so much such as finding a good bra or on taking care of my skin. So when I saw this I thought I need to share the tip about swapping out chores. Thanks again and love your channel. P.S. I'm a bra size 38G and I found a comfortable wirefree bra. Never thought I would be able to go wirefree but it is the most comfortable bra. It is made by Honeylove and it is called the Crossover bra. You should do a review on it. They would probably love it if you would do a review, I bet they would send you one for free. I'm not affiliated with them at all... just really like the bra!! They make shape wear so the hit it out of the park when the designed that bra.

And if one of you starts slacking, instead of getting resentful, list those chores for both on you and stick them on the fridge and without saying a word, just highlight what you have done each day. At the end of the week the lazy one will see, without you having to say anything, the things that they have left undone so hopefully they will pick up the slack without you even having to remind them!
@livinglargeonasmallbudget10272 жыл бұрын
@@TheTyaptyap good idea. It has become a routine for us now. It's kind of like a game. We made a promise to love eachother no matter what so now we made a promise to take on the tasks eachother hate to do. My husband hates to be the bad guy or have to give bad news to people. He is so kind and does not want to make anyone feel bad so I agreed to always handle being the "bad guy". We joke the he is good cop and I am bad cop. But in return for him never having to be the "bad guy", I no longer have to give the dog a bath. I hated having to do that because I end up soaked. I definitely got the better end of that deal ;)

Also I think we as women generally are more sensitive and our feeling do get hurt many times unnecessarily. It takes time and trust in the other person to know they would never intentionally do you harm. Keep doing what you two do, it is working for you both. I’m about to celebrate 22 years with my husband, and I would recommend having a joint bank account for bills/mortgage and big ticket items, but keeping your own individual account(s) for ‘fun’ purchases. Also, I never did change my name. At first it was because I’m lazy, but then I decided I liked my last name better than his, lol.
@Lifes_Frosting2 жыл бұрын
I can't stress the importance of having a joint account for bills and keeping your own individual accounts. I was married for 30 years to a man who became financially abusive as the years went on. He would check our bank accounts multiple times daily to monitor my spending. Eventually he eliminated my access to our joint accounts cutting me off completely. I didn't have an account or money of my own. Luckily I did have my own credit card which is also very important to have. I was in a position that I had to file for divorce in order to legally get money to buy food and personal items.

We speak in Spanish all the time in front of my husband or even when I talk to other Hispanics & he does not mind or his family, they like it & it’s helped him learn Spanish. They speak Swiss German & high German and they do the same & I don’t find it rude. It’s helped me learn German more. A lot of women wish they kept their own name after marriage. When I get married I want to change mine. We also agreed we'd have a joint bank account for our life together but separate ones also for our own stuff. (I shop a lot and love buying perfumes and he doesn't need to see that on a joint bank account statement!) I think that Daniel seems sweet, but I can't help but notice the odd comment posted from people that's cruelly targeted towards him,... But for goodness sake sometimes couples slip up and say things they don't mean... People need to realise that relationships aren't perfect. I wonder if this ever make him feel sad to read these things... I wish you both the best and hope that Instagram and KZbin doesn't ever bring you down. Totally get it. And you absolutely do it that way if you want to.I think everyone just needs to do what’s best for them and what both people are comfortable with 👏👏

Totally off-topic, I know you have a lot of curly hair routine videos. My hair is naturally curly, but after bleaching it, it’s not curling up as it used to. What products can I use to help my curls come back?🥰 Love you and your videos

If I may recommend, DO go ahead and at least put each other on your bank accounts. God forbid something should happen to one of you, your spouse would NOT be able to be able to get the money out, especially since you, India, haven’t changed your name. This could REALLY be an issue! 🦋💜

It seems to be a GUY thing to slowly take up the entire kitchen table with their quote “stuff” un quote 😒 23 years my hubby went from having a few envelopes on the edge of the table… to…. Medicine, vitamins, energy pouch powders, mail, note pads, jump rope, pens, markers, favorite cup, gum, bills, chap stick, ,,, should I go on???? Yep, it’s the whole right side of the damn kitchen counter island! FYI our kitchen island is 7ft long 😫😱🙄 Love him with all my heart though 💖😏

I can tell that you live your life to be able to talk about it on social media. Being a social media influencer changes people and rarely for the better. I can tell it has already changed you, sorry to say.

Please keep your name. Don’t even bother. I always kept mine because of the hassle then realized women are not even allowed to do that because of religious reasons. And it makes sense why WHY? Its not like my blood line changed or family changed.
@heyitsmebee2 жыл бұрын
My mother didn't change her name for religious reasons, but I did and I'm so happy did. Especially when we have kids, we will be one unit, same name. It was a hassle temporarily during the changing process, but so much easier and cohesive now. But I get both sides!
@indiabatson262 жыл бұрын
I totally get it. It’s not for everyone and I don’t think anyone should feel pressured to! I personally want to change my name. I don’t think Daniel really cares either way honestly but I want to 💛

No need to mention white as a race when introducing yourself. We all have eyes, just say American with whatever your ancestry is, British, Scottish, Swedish … talking about race is divisive and to my generation racist. By the way , my mother is as white as you with green eyes but she’s Persian . She would never introduce herself as the colour of her skin , or Caucasian but only Persian or Iranian! We’re living in a strange time so let us be united and don’t let them change or warp our minds. Colour of skin is not your culture or identity!
