The first part of Indian is a must watch! The screenplay, the songs & BGM by your nanbar ARR, the cinematography everything was the finest. Not sure if it's connected but anyways as seen in the trailer they will surely show a recap of the events but the 1996 movie is surely not to be missed.

You both must definitely watch Indian 1 with the subtitles. One of the Blockbuster movies when it was released back then. The prosthetic make-up that was used in the 1st part was way better than the 2nd part. It was one of the iconic get-ups of Kamal Hassan in his whole career. A huge milestone in Indian Cinema at that time. Everything was a top-notch with the 1st part. Storyline, Screenplay, Songs, ARR Music and Background Scoring. Oh my God. Fantastic it is.

I think many Shankar movies dated lot in few aspects,as they were highlighting social issues at that time with commercial making.Sujatha's dialogues,ARR's music and the rich making amaze us always but some logic or story telling wise dated pretty well.Kadhalan I watched few months ago,oh god so cringe to look at now 🙆 ARR music,Prabhu Deva dance and somewhat vadivelu saved the movie as a whole.And nagma screenpresence.Gentleman too till 1st half kinda cringey,Indian that Whole chandru love atrocities had so much face palm moments 🤦 Senapathy and suganya scenes including Flashback during pre-independence are great,along with songs and bgm. Guess Jeans,Mudhalvan,Anniyan are great to enjoy as a movie till now,barring few things.

But what now I tell is movie as a whole,where in aspects at that time we might have enjoyed as a kid but now feel cringey or meaningless.In indian am telling about the Chandru's initial scenes with Manisha or Urmila, movie total length 3 hrs 10 mins won't work these days if half the movie spent for such cringe stuffs along with comedy track seperately.Gentleman 1st 40 mins to look now,Arjun and 2nd heroine atrocity scenes not at all enjoyable now,but ironically she stealing Arjun's ring brings the plot twist.kadhalan couldn't even sit and watch as a whole bro 🥲 just for songs.I was just quoting such aged aspects of the movie,though we enjoy it now. Jeans,Mudhalvan,Anniyan etc.I feel most scenes didn't much age, looking back Shankar's 1st 3 movies.Anniyan had plot holes but most foreign reactors enjoyed it a lot,especially for Vikram's acting,music and the rich from shankar making as usual, because they knew its a commerical flick,even sivaji the boss many enjoyed.But Endhiran agree with you,even now I love to sit watch anytime.We enjoy because Chitti's 1st half is the favourite for any Indian who love the till now,than the 2nd half sci-fi stuffs.Not just Rick,korbin I saw few other foreign reactors too,as they expected something more sci-fi as they had watched lot in Hollywood they couldn't connect to the 1st half Chitti, Rick/Korbin enjoyed the 2nd half Violent chitti though.Its just perception and views differing across fans from different nations.Its understandable 🙏🏼

6:06 Okay. You are watching indian 1 or not am giving you a context. Idea of the movie part 1 was, what if a freedom fighter living today in his 70s (1996) was frustrated by the corruption and ignorance in public duty by the officers around him. At a point it directly affects him and he faces huge personal loss by that. Anger grows beyond revenge, he decides only way it can stop is fear of death (vigilante justice). Story structured brilliantly Starts of with The old man killing corrupt bureaucrats and parallel-to it young man(another kamal ) who sneaks through the corruption to land on a government job. Two highlights of the movie is , 1. Old man’s Past ,2. What he lost which triggered the whole thing. The investigating police officer found the old man at that point we were told first one -who he actually is “a pre-independence plot ends with celebration of India getting freedom from British” (background score from ARR is so high that when ani signed for this sequel first thing he said publicly was that was a cult. Am just going to try to do my best), in current day he escaped from the police officer after brutally attacking him. thats mid point of story.(if u know Indian movies it’s interval high point) . Second half starts of with another murder this time old man decided to reveal himself to the world, he telecasted that in a tv show and warned corrupt bureaucrats , then we were told what he lost it’s his daughter and the young kamal who landed in government job is his son. Now we are on to third act his son do something taking bribe and that leads to biggest of tragedy we seen so far. Then you would have guessed the climax, yes he killed his own son dramatic end. It closes with big blast ( which you see in this trailer introducing him) and at the end of the movie were shown he is still alive and in different country , might come back if they don’t change. Hopefully it helps!! Cheers. Waiting for your comments on these two movies🙏 One side note: i see you are saying the indian. Indian here refers to old man - he gave himself a name when it started. His character name is senabhathy
