Thank you, you’ve made me feel more comfortable doing this. I can do brakes all day long, I’m nervous about touching my bike

I hate to say it, but you miss very important step !!! After you remove the caliper and before you spread the pads, YOU MUST clean all dirt, grime around the pistons with a brake cleaner spray or degreaser, only then you would push them in. You will increase the chance of contamination and/or scratching the o-rings, otherwise.

That is correct! Good observation

@@bluezuke860 Another note: after you use a solvent, rinse with fresh water out of a spray bottle and THEN push the pads. 👌👌👌👌👍👍👍

Great video, thanks for sharing. I've never changed my brakes, so I've got a question. Since it's a "closed" system, when you put the calipers back on, is there a need to bleed the lines at all? Is it once the calipers are back on, cap off the front oil reservoir and engage the brakes or do you do that before you close it?

Always bleed the brakes on motorcycles as a good practice. It is a closed system so as long as you maintain a full reservoir you should be good. Always test ride and take it slow.

@@bluezuke860 Thanks for the info! I noticed you had a manual... where did you get it? I've searched Haynes/Clymer and notta for Indians.
