Absolutely, I completely agree with you. When I was in 10th grade (4 years ago), I used to think that women were unfunny. Whenever I watched female stand-up comedians, I had this preconceived notion in my mind that they wouldn't be funny, so I was never able to enjoy the comedy or relate to it. But as I grew up, I started exploring movies, meeting people, learning, and experiencing many things. Emotionally, I matured a bit. Now, when I watch female comics perform, I usually enjoy it if they are funny. Sometimes, I may not enjoy their performance, but that's because I don't relate to or empathize with the comic's material, and that's fine. Not everything is meant to make me laugh, and yep sometimes women are unfunny and so are males bro ....ahemmmm " Bassi's Prime Special" ..

Raginy it has no truth that Females are not good at comedy. I really liked the performance of most Female comedians during Comicstaan and also seeing more females joining the stage. The issue you are raising has more to do with Male Dominance at society level. It's very recently only that women have started speaking publicly about themselves. We are still in the process of understanding & listening to women at the Society level. Most men are still in the journey of being able to relate, accept & respect how a women feels , how they think, her challenges & her life. On the contrary most women understand Men & in habbit of listening to them for long. And comedy is all about being able to relate. Men who have been living in ignorance or denial, would take time to relate. And Men who still believe that Women are meant to stay inside 4 walls, they won't be able to appreciate the humour bcoz of bias which still exists in their mind. To be honest, most Indian stand-up comedians, whether male or female, come off as unfunny and cringe-worthy. People tend to laugh at jokes that have some relatability to their real-life situations. You won't laugh at any random thing without knowing the context it's coming from. What most stand-up comedians do to make their jokes relatable to the audience is incorporate topics like undergarments, sex, and private parts. And, it's not funny at all. Even when presenting adult jokes, you need to present them in layers, adding double meanings. That's what previous comedians used to do. And even though their jokes being sexist and misogynistic, they were funny. But these present comedians are not funny at all. And really sorry to say but Indian female comedians aren't funny at all.

There are equal or more amount of bad male comics, i agree one hundred percent with her, but i dont agree that if a woman is as good at her craft as bill bur is at telling jokes she'll be cancelled, most cancelling is done to male comics and for right reasons most times. I think there should be more female comics and they have to have the experiences like most of these big wig male comics have. There are few great female comics like Joan rivers, sarah silverman even Ellen for that matter are simply superb, but these talksic kinda idiots will not even know about their existence, even though they've been best at their game for years. Raginyy, though the editing and acting done by the boy is not so good, may be he is not so good in that. But the point he raised is much more valid. Again not for all female comedians. I watched many, out of which some are damn good in their job. but some are ridiculous. Today using abusive language is becoming norm in stand up comedy. We have seen real clean comedy talent on India's Laughter challenge, The Kapil Sharma Show etc. Its not necessary to always disrespect your mom-dad, uncle-aunty and elders to make ur comedy more humorous,.. which is becoming trend in modern days stand-up comedy. I know its necessary involve your audience in standup comedy show, but these comedians should work more on their original jokes. That is all.
