@@dyd12345 But it's not that simple is it? The police (which is usually just an extension of government) is very often underfunded, and running under a non profitable model. Not to mention struggling when dealing with cross-country criminals, since corruption as well as a lack of interest as well as the simple fact that the crime occurs in another country as well as the limitations on what type of surveillance is even allowed massively hinders success. It's great when the criminals do get "appropriately punished", but more often than not, cyber cases are still ignored (it's 2021 smh). Moving on to if this were a service that can be purchased, which wouldn't make a whole lot of sense in terms of paying for something, since you won't pay for the service before hand because you haven't been scammed yet and you are unaware that this particular group even exist yet. (you probably already know scams exist) And once you have been scammed, you wouldn't pay for someone who uses illegal means to get justice, since it is an expectation that this should be done by the police for free. And also to note, if you've been scammed or are in the process of being scammed, just pop a msg to some of these creators and they'll see what they can do for you for free. So there basically only leave two groups of people who would pay. The ones who have been scammed and seek retributive actions and don't care how it is made. And the ones who crowd fund his endeavors because we enjoy what he does (i.e. ngo, somebody who appreciates what he does). Not many people would seek retributive actions, and not many people will get on that list to be crowd funded, the Scambaiter 1 here might be on your patreon subscription, but how many Scambaiters are you willing to pay for? For me, there's only one, and that's purely for his content, not what he does. Scambaiter is also in a particular itchy spot since he is crossing the legal line to do what he does. He mentioned before the police do know of him and what and how he does what he does and are just ignoring him, e.g putting a RAT into somebody's computer without consent, illegally watching another person over their webcams without consent, downloading someone elses... I highly doubt he is ever gonna get charged with anything, since a grey hat hacker like him is doing the system a favor, and lucky him to have found a crowd that are willing to fund him. But I certainly don't believe, at least as a standalone business practice, that this is a good business model at all. But I care about what he does and would love to be wrong. So please for the love of god prove me wrong.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, if you go online and search for the specific airline and "lost items" or "lost and found", it pulls up a bunch of scammers first. I got suspicious reading the form it wanted me to fill out; but only because I love languages and this didn't sound like something the airline would write. Hi James. I really enjoyed the videos. As a son of an aging widow with cancer (currently in remission) I told my mom today about this video after repairing a leak in her roof. She had been very upset about this because several contractors had explained to her that the entire roof MUST be replaced at costs in the mid 5 digit range. One told her that he could maybe repair the leak for $1,200.00 but could be higher. Fortunately, my friend is also a roofing contractor so we both intervened with a surprise visit today and repaired the leak for a total out-of-pocket cost of $11.00 and now no more leaks. I was surprised at how absolutely convinced she was that these guys were right and how difficult it was for me to steer her away from them ripping her off. In the end, honesty, integrity, and a little bit of persuasion won the day. If it's a computer, a phone, hammer & nails or a wrench. Be the hero in your own story. Thank you James. God bless you.

This really hits home. My sweet grandma died almost a year ago to the day and this easily could have been her, born the same year. These guys are pure garbage, this could have been anyone's grandma. You Mr. Scambaiter are a true hero, defending the helpless and vulnerable. I absolutely thank you for all you do.

I think I've been watching scam baiting videos for a year or so. I found your channel after first seeing Atomic Shrimp, Kitboga and Scammer Payback. I really enjoy your format and appreciate your hard work in making life difficult for the scammers, and for intercepting and disrupting their scams.

Oh my God! These scams are so sophisticated! 🤯 Thank God you jumped in and saved the poor 81 year old lady. I’m from India and these scammers are a nuisance. They rob people of their hard-earned money. Great job by you. I’m a fan of your videos Keep up the great work 😊😊😊

I know im late to the party but this is awesome! I've seen previous videos where people bait the scam and annoy the scammers and prevent them from stealing the baiters money. But you are actually jumping in and saving strangers from a horrific, embarrassing experience. True example of the quote "Not all heros wear capes." Keep up the good fight!

@@GlamStacheessnostalgialounge I'm not too sure, either he didn't want to tell her off and that was his way of saying go have a nice day, or he was being snarky because she didn't have a computer. The second one sounds a bit far fetched but it's a bit weird so i'm not sure
@jalanihidup61193 жыл бұрын
Lol, I think the scammer will hacked the TV. WTF
@dinkledankle3 жыл бұрын
I'm sure he was telling her that since she doesn't have a computer screen to watch/stare at, she should go watch/stare at a tv. It seemed he was implying that if you don't have a computer, then you should just watch tv, as though it is the most and only valuable use of one's free time. I'd say he thinks the American elderly just sit at home and watch their TVs/computers all day, which isn't entirely false, but also not entirely true. I'm sure the same applies to the Indian elderly. It really is confusing, but I feel like I got it when he said it.

I have to keep on reminding myself that there are over 1 billion of them there and a lot of them are good people (and there are bad people here too), but it's hard not to hate those people in those call centers. I agree with the comments directly below. You are a hero and I also started to tear up at the end as well. Keep up the fight! I know it seems endless but you are making a difference. I remember reading something years ago. I will summarize it. Someone was watching a child throw some star fish back into the ocean among hundreds washed up on a beach. The person asked what she was doing and I think she said tossing them back into the ocean to save them. The person said you can’t possibly make a difference, because of how many there were that was washed up on the beach. The girl tossed another into the ocean. The girl said I did to that one! You are saving people every day you fight the fight for us all. Thank you!
