Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan jesa kalaakaar na koi thaa na ho ga. He had so much training in classical music that he innovated and mixed different raagas to create different sounds. He was a scientist. A French journalist accompanied him during his tours to different countries and he has told that the first thing Ustad G did after reaching the hotel was switch on the TV and listen to some local music so that he could get a taste of that country's music. Then in his performance he used to use raagas that matched that country's music style. Genius is a small word to describe this man.
