Another beautiful piece, Kim. I cannot resist mentioning the beautiful pun you perpetrated when describing the hours it took to do the hollowing as "boring". For those of you who didn't get it: the business end of the Yoder hollowing system, and others of that ilk, are essentially what a metalworking machinist would call a "boring bar".

Very beautiful! I now am understanding the amount of hours it takes on some of these! I have been shopping for a starter lathe for some time now.glad I waited to watch more videos on turning resin. I'm a contractor of 35 +years and have the capability of pulling it off. I have done a lot of epoxy countertops and share your nap ,dust and hair frustration in the finish! Great peice Kim! Hi Kim, absolutely stunning piece. So glad I watched this again. My first resin piece was/still is a disaster. I used the wrong resign, threw in a bunch of different pieces of wood from rock hard to soft like pinecones. Aaagggghhhh. Giant holes, gaps, chip outs, bouncing tools, destroyed tool edges. Also broke the stem of my tool rest. I'm still fighting it. Iearned much through my own suffering, and even more watching your experience. Gods blessings for you yours. Hope you weren't impacted by the storms.

Glad you shared the project, even though you had to edit much with tools getting worn. Our bodies wear out, yet we depend on God to lift us up and keep from life's cracks in trials. Nice piece Kim! I’ll mention to you like Doug, if you’ve not done a lot of Olivewood turning. Olive wood takes about 4 years to totally dry out because of all the oils in the wood, so it could cause cracks in your resin and the wood as it drys. But if you wait to turn Olivewood when it’s dry it’s super hard. 👍🇺🇸

That ended up being so beautiful! So on the one hand, Doug really did pick out great colors for this. But on the other hand, he often says that if something can go wrong with his turns then it will go wrong. So maybe letting him have input caused all your problems. ; ) I had to put this here instead of making my own comment. What good is it to poke fun at Doug if he isn't alerted to it?!
