I recall that I was so excited when I first visited the Great Wall of China during Oct/2018. I went to exactly the entrance you went. That was a good choice to avoid the crowd. I felt so emotional when I first stepped on the Great Wall and I could not believe that something I could only see in the movies or on TV, it is actually in front of my eyes. Due the Fall season, leaves are turning bright yellow or red colors. The scenery looked so beautiful. I felt so good and so peaceful.
