Ofc companies want to know if u r planning to take 6 months maternity leave on ur one year probation , ethical or unethical but that affect company's work a lot specially when the company is small and can't afford too many employees

Of course he should ask. By law in UK women are entitled to a long paid maternity leave. Some female employees get married & pregnant soon after getting the job which leaves the company out of pocket.

I have my Team lead selectively will not take women candidates in her team stating they might get married and they don't listen to her commands, openly stating and she'll not allow select women candidates!!! She just came out of her maternity leave after 9 months 😂😂😂 Imagine this happens in IT company in Chennai 😂😂😂😂

I don't blame the companies here. I understand that women might not like that, but that why you have free market. The company is free to choose to hire anyone and you are free to choose to work for anyone.
