Indian orthdox is formed in 1974 following 19th centenary celebration of St. Thomas. Indian orthodox claims they are established by St. Thomas by AD52. However, there is no historical evidence of arrival of St. Thomas in India. Because, by AD 52, when St. Thomas is believed to be visited India, that land where he landed, called Kodungalloor, Kerala, was covered by sea water. It was reclaimed after several centuries. Also, the caste system in Kerala involving Brahman, Shatriyar, Shoodrar, Chandalan was originated after several centuries. It is believed that 7 brahmin families were converted by St. Thomas to christanity. So the arrival of St. Thomas remains as myth. Also, The priesthood in Malankara was visibly, by record, arrived from Antiochya St. Peters throne. The portughese tried to impose their RC belief in Malankara but was rejected by Malankara Nasrani. One patriarch came from Antiochya was caught by Portughese soldiers and drowned him in sea. In huge protest against portughese atrocities, Malankara Nasranis took oath by holding a big coir bound on a huge cross. They took oath to keep allegiance only with Antiochya throne and rejected Portughese faith. After some time, some challenged the spiritual domination of Antiochya and needs fully independence. And they established Indian Orthodox by 1974. They created fake throne by name of St. Thomas, later which was rejected by the Supreme Court of India by 2017 July 3, judgement. In 19th centenary celebrations Orthodox rejected the Antiochian Patriarch and brought some unknown patriarch from Russia. So, two factions emerged; one group supported catholic of Malankara (Kerala) called Indian Orthodox and another faction supported Antiochian patriarch called jacobite faction. They fight with each other for 1 1/2 centuries and at last Supreme Court given a judgement by 2017 Jul, 3, authorizing orthodox to do administration of all the churches in Malankara belongs to Syrian Orthodox jacobite churches. However, jacobite faction did not accept the court verdict which they find injustice is done to Jacobite. As the ownership is still with parish members why the court did not send a fact finding judicial team to document the decision of each church parish members as by which faith they wish to keep allegiance, by which the court can finally decide the fate of each church. But SC found a short cut and did not care the existence of two factions in the church who fight with each other over 1 1/2 centuries. They favored to orthodox faction and given verdict to administer all the churches. But the transition must be peaceful, as per SC judgement. But orthodox use rowdies and Police to capture Jacobite churches and they took 70 churches by force and locked those churches. without any religious ceremonies. Jacobite claims, that the Supreme Court judgement is biased and violated the fundamental right guaranteed in the Constitution by which each Indian has the right to make worship centers and worship as he like. The SC judgement also violated human rights by which orthodox even blocked burial of their dead bodies.
