For Public Awareness:Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church was formed in A.D. 52 by Mar Thoma Sleeha.Syro Malabar Catholic Church was formed in 1661 by those who split from Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church & became Catholic along with Parambil Chandy Kathanar (the cousin of Mar Thoma Onnaaman).Malankara Marthoma Syrian Church is of those who split from Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church & formed a seperate & reformed Church in 1898 avoiding intercession prayers (Madyastha Prarthanakal).Malankara Catholic Church was formed by Ivanios Thirumeni who left Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church in 1930. Jacobite Syrian Christian Church was formed in 2002 at Puthenkurish by those who boycotted Malankara Asociation held in 2002 at Parumala in the presence of Justice Maleemad. This Malayalayalm Version of Parabhatha Namaskaram & Vishudha Qurbana of Chaldean Church sounds more similar to Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church of the East led by Catholicate of the East than to the so called Syro Malabar Catholic Church or Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch or Jacobite Syrian Christian Church because from A.D. 201 of Third Century til the end of 15th century Malankara Church used Eastern Syriac Liturgy of Chaldean Church only. Still the Malayalam Version from second till 9aam Thubden is same in both Syro Chaldean Church & Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. As per point two of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Constitution of 1934, Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church belongs to the category Orthodox Syrian Church of the East & not Syriac Orthodox & thus Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church should be called Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church of the East.
