The Brits could have the same thing, if they just dissolved their "royalty". Then a PM wouldn't have to (even if it's only ceremonially) get the sovereigns blessing to form a government.

To be clear, the US won 2 wars against the Brits. Our flag came from the first one, our National Anthem came from the second. Yes, I know that our anthem is set to a British drinking song. That was on purpose so it would be easier to remember. Also, we have our own patriotic words for your National Anthem. A smug Brit bragged to me once about our US anthem, and proceeded to be horrified that we had alternate words to hers. 😊 "Our Country 'Tis of Thee."
