Indian Reacts to Family guy dark humor compilation

This was not a very good family guy compilation, it cut out a lot of the set ups for the jokes, the context is important, that scene were the dog is eating the poop is due to the baby and dog being locked in a room for two or three days and the baby tricked him into doing it, anyway, there are better compilations of the show that don't cut the jokes like this one

It's not so much that the dog was "tricked" as that they didn't have a choice. What had happened was that they were accidentally locked in a bank-vault overnight when the dog was checking his safety-deposit box, and the baby had created a suffocatingly-stinky poop, as babies sometimes do, which is not a great thing to be trapped with for hours in a tiny unventilated space. The lead-up to this scene was Brian the dog desperately trying to find another way, but there just wasn't one. And, as Stewie the baby pointed out, dogs sometimes do just eat poop. The way they ping-pong being Brian being a human and Brian being a dog is a great source of humour on the show.

I remember I used to see this show in my early teenage years. It used to air on Star World in India I think. I was shell shocked at that time how did they allow this show to air on tv 🤣 but then again it got cancelled very soon. 😢

It was canceled for a year or so a long time ago, but then it was brought back. It’s still on, they’ve been making new episodes for the past 23 years.

Yeah if memory serves me right it was canceled by Fox. But because of popular demand and DVD sales, They were able to bring it back.

@@staceymenheart8353 It was a really interesting industry shift at the time, because the DVD sales were mostly driven by Internet word-of-mouth and the sharing of video clips, and that being large enough to have mainstream clout was very new in the early 2000s. It was also interesting because it was the first time that DVD box-sets were enough to justify reviving a cancelled show, and part of that was because DVDs were the first physical format with enough capacity to make full-series box-sets cheap enough for the average consumer to buy. Fascinating confluence of a bunch of social and technological shifts.

I would definitely have to say this wasn't the best compilation. Episodes are more balanced in humor and give better context. I do encourage trying out a few more reactions before making up your mind. Great reaction, though 🤣

Yeah, Family Guy does a lot of dark and shocking humour, but part of the reason it's dark and shocking is that it gets balanced-out in the rest of the show. When it's all packed together like this and you don't know the context, it makes the show seem like an unthinking shock-fest, which it really isn't. If you were trying to give people an idea of what Family Guy is like, this definitely isn't a good compilation for that.

You probably missed most of the jokes because you don't understand a lot about the US. 'He opened the shaft', that was the space shuttle and Stewie sent his sister into the coldness of space. (Vacuum of space sucked her and the atmosphere out of the shuttle bay when the door opened.) It is dark humor after all. (Dark meaning evil in this context.)

Hey guys. I'm very much enjoying the channel and always get a laugh. I think you would like "Eddie izzard, star wars cantina, Lego." Eddie izzard is a British comedian. He does a stand up routine about a normal day in the cafeteria/cantina onboard the death star from star wars. Someone animated it with Lego dolls and overlayed the audio. Anyone else who wants to do a family guy reaction should pick the good compilation videos. They may all say they're the "funniest moments", but a lot of them are actually some of their nastiest and cruelest moments. This is because these compilations barely include anything from the classic episodes and mostly just include clips from the modern episodes. At least the Simpsons compilations know the earlier seasons were funnier.

She's saying Brian(the dog) is weirdest and creepiest but he's the only one in the series who's... you know kind of a good guy, so ground to the earth type. The episode where brian cleans stewie's butt, eventhough that episode has its worst moments, I'd say that is one of the best family guy episodes after the season 1 episode 8, Road to the multiverse.

"Family Guy Dark Humor". Strange because I don't think there is any other kind. Family Guy is a dark show, but hilarious. Another great one to watch is Southpark. My favorite with that last one was "I'm going to scare Meg." then she flies out and they casually close the airlock.

I've noticed that I always skip through most of the intro monologues. The part where you briefly introduce the upcoming clips are fine but the rest can be a drag..
