After having a name brand high quality (Yuasa) battery fail me in just 6 months, I decided to go for something different. I did a lot of searching, and researching. This battery seems to be the best of the best, state of the art. 480 cranking amps, intelligent BMS with a reserve mode if the battery is ever about to go dead. I also make some wiring changes to improve the ability to power the ECM while cranking.

Good lord, you have more upgrades on this bike than the price of the bike!

Myth confirmed. I got the bike used for $8000. I’ve spent AT LEAST $8500 on upgrades. But boy howdy is it my dream bike now. I love this bike!

Great job! I have a 2019 Scout and just installed the same battery , the same way you did. Thanks to your video. I replaced the original Polaris which was starting to go bad. It took about 4 tries to initially start it but i rode it around for about an hour and a half and stopped and started it again twice and it fired up right away. My alternator charged it up pretty quickly. When i got back home and hooked up my trickle charger it went right to full charge immediately so my alternator charged it good. It's cold here about 35 degrees. In cold weather Do you have to turn on the battery and warm it up for a couple minutes for the first start of the day? How are your morning starts in the winter?

I have a victory octane and I'm still having starting issues even after the starter was replaced. I saw this video and just had this battery installed. I'm praying this solves my starting issues. I'll post again soon with an update

Should do the trick. Honestly, there are times where I want to shoot video of my bike starting with this battery because it’s just so incredible how fast it cranks over with this thing. The resting voltage is pretty much the same as the running voltage, so it cranks over with a lot more voltage available, not just more amperage. I’m going on my third season with this battery now.

did it solve your issue? I'm having start issues in my Octane and thought it was the starter till I saw the battery undervolting. I'm considering one of these antigravity batteries myself.

Great video as usual. Thank you for sharing. One question not related to the battery. What luggage rack do you have installed? I just got a 2018 Scout and was looking at different luggage options. Thank you.

Lithium is definitely the way to go. Good video. What exhaust are you running on the bike? Sounds pretty good. Cheers

Is it still working well for you? I’m definitely needing a new battery, and the last lithium ion battery I bought couldn’t even get it started.

Yeah, I have a fairly high drain GPS tracker on this bike, so the battery gets drained in about a week if I’m not riding it. I’ve used the restart button/feature on this bike twice now and it works like a champ. And in day to day starting, this thing is unbelievable. The resting voltage of this battery is whatever the charging system charges to, so like 14v. So this thing cranks over hella fast now. Almost sounds like a Honda cranking over. So fast. No more lugging and chugging hoping the engine will catch. This battery is definitely worth the entrance fee, it Just Works.

Haha, no doubt. I was very very angry about my recently replaced battery leaving me hanging. If this is the price I have to pay to get reliability, so be it.

What year is your Scout? You mentioned the Bike has a bike battery charging system? I was told the bike doesn’t have that. Unless I’m thinking it is something else. How does it work for you, the battery?
@1ManWrenching
@1ManWrenching 4 жыл бұрын
The Scout is a 2015. The battery is two years old and still works well. Yes, the bike has a charging port for a battery tender, it also has an alternator for keeping the battery charged/running the accessories while riding. This battery has been working really really well. Cranks the engine over soooo much faster than even the healthiest stock battery could.

MotoCycle is the alternator specific to just your bike? I’m asking because the mechanic at my Indian dealership explained my bike does not have an alternator and to keep my bike plugged into a tinder. I have my bike stored in storage shed with no outlets. It’s a 2017 and the cold is zapping the battery. Thanks for the information.

Can you do the video with the voltage drop showing? What was the drop from 13 with the new battery, still 9V?

I’d just google for a reseller of that brand. Not sure where to buy it outside of Amazon. The company is based out of California, you could try emailing them, they’ve always been quick to reply to my emails.

Hey just called in about mine for not starting on first try even in the summer and they said that they upgraded it and mine is a 2016 Indian scout sixty. Built in June 2017. Just thought I’d let you investigate yourself for a free upgrade if it’s still under warenty

Also I plan on getting a new exhaust a freedom performance combat 2 into 1 and was wondering if you wanted a video after I get my upgrades done. I’m not a KZbinr so I really don’t need any credit or anything. Just thought I’d offer it to such a great scout themed KZbin channel.

MotoCycle have you had any problems running without the strap? Everything is so wedged in there. They had glued my GPS to the strap on my 2020 so we had to scrape it off to even get it out! I note that the strap will cover up the restart button so if I can run safely/effectively without it, I’d love to. TIA.

Hows the battery, still working?
@1ManWrenching
@1ManWrenching 5 жыл бұрын
Yup, works like a champ still. My bike sometimes has a residual draw that will kill the battery. I’ve heard it’s a bug in the 2015 ECM. Either way, the restart button on this battery has been used a few times. Works as advertised. Press it, and the battery turns back on with more than enough charge to start the bike back up.
