double check, most states require directionals to be 14" apart, those are pretty horrible for visibility as well. You may also want to check your plate, most states require a light

Just got the Michelin Commander 2 tires today for my ‘18 scout sixty and heartily agree they are worth every penny! Also, a month or two ago I got the Kuryakin mini floor boards and yeah!, totally different and better bike. I purchased mine with slip on exhaust already installed and they are a huge difference. Instead of an after market flash or programmer, I got the Indian performance intake which comes with a computer flash from the dealership, also worth it. Also, did your rear shock tightening from one of your other vids and Wow!, big difference. I’d love to do some of your other mods, but you must make a lot more money than me. The one thing my bike has that I can’t go without are EZ brackets and Viking side bags. They just offer so much more utility to an already cool bike. Thanks for the vid. Sometimes it’s fun to watch what other people have done with their bike. I think you are running out of products to put on yours. I’d love to see what you would do to a Kawasaki KLR. I bet it would end up looking like a space station, hah!

Definitely running out of mods. And yeah, I pulled a loan out against my 401k to rapidly get the bike where I wanted it. Just finished paying that back, actually. I’ve done a few more mods since this video. 7” headlight, air horn, and much better rear blinkers are the big three that come to mind.

Actually i dont think those blinkers would count. They need to be a certain brightness to qualify. Plus they are too close together. Its always a head scratcher when someone sacrifices visibility for style on a bike.

Indicator issues on the rear of this bike for sure. Shield is way too low toward shielding the rider from the wind, however I definitely agree with the issue you raised with the stock shields that cause way too much buffeting over 100 kph. I ended up swapping it out for an after market shield that has a similar shape to the one in this video, only taller. I mostly love all other upgrades. Thank you heaps for sharing :)
@1ManWrenching6 жыл бұрын
I’ve got a newer video where I fix the blinker problem. This was the video where I discovered just how bad my previous setup was. That windfly puts a perfectly smooth wind flow exactly where I need it, off my body and around my helmet. It really does work better than you’d expect. I wanted the smallest possible so it didn’t detract from the bike’s looks.
@DBMac584 жыл бұрын
Hey, I just received the Corbin seat like yours, but black. I was wondering did yours come with a hole in it where the seat heat control switch mounts. The only thing is I don’t have seat heat and it’s only covered by the vinyl on the side panel. Yes, I said vinyl! The seat is advertised leather, but the black has no option for black leather for the side panels, it just has black as an option and of course I wanted it black. I’m not to happy with this Corbin seat, I guess I’m going to get to know their customer support real soon. I was just wondering if yours has these features?
@1ManWrenching4 жыл бұрын
Wow. No, I didn’t have any holes in the side of mine. They did ignore my height specs and sent me a standard seat, I couldn’t ride the bike that far back. They wouldn’t pay return shipping to fix their mistake. All in all it took them 3 months to get it done for me.
@DBMac584 жыл бұрын
MotoCycle Is your Corbin seat leather on the seat and side panels? They seem to think it’s alright to put vinyl on the sides. Paid to much for a leather seat for them to put vinyl on the sides.

What i cant stand is the way the rise of the bars doesnt 'lineup with fork angle more. its the same with the stock bars,..it just looks wrong. I know its got a lot to do with the rake angle being steep. I am hoping putting some mini apes and reduced reach seat will allow me to stand up bars more in line with fork angle. The only other bars i found to fit were the Dean Speed "matadors",..but they only make them in black, and I want the polished stainless steel bars,..so other than swapping out all the controls to 1" dia to get more choice on bars, it looks like mini apes are the only easy option

I suspect Polaris didn’t want to make the Scout TOO good. They priced it really low to compete with Harley’s sportsters, so they’re really not making much money on it. Good mods cost money. Low cost mods won’t last long. Do mods to make the bike your ideal bike. The next buyer is going to have their own tastes, your mods may be negatives to them. Fair enough. I have an install video, and several videos of rides, cold start videos, and even one where I switched this out to the “quiet” baffles. None of these products were sponsored, so I’m only going to go so far on pushing the ones I really liked. I spent over $1000 on this exhaust by the time I had the quiet baffle installed, to say nothing of replacing the rear caliper it damaged. The manufacturer stopped replying to emails when I mentioned the dangerous caliper damage, so honestly, I recommend NOT getting this exhaust, at this point.
