Ignorance! I blame the Indians as well for allowing it. Sad. They see a non Indian, and I think they think they are honoured to serve them. Like what. Come to Durban, South Africa, it will b a different experience. Come through! We will show u the evolution. We also speak perfect English, firs language, so u don’t have to dull it down when u speak! I’d love to see that! Imagine, Indian vendors and restaurant owners having a proper conversation as opposed to nodding and smiling.

@@PrativaGovender Why are you looking down on Our culture? *Athiti Devo Bhav* (Guest is God) is what Indian Culture follows. It's a proud feeling when you serve food to your Guest, we aren't feeling inferior. We just want them to have a memorable experience. Japanese bow down a lot while speaking, everyone calls them polite but if Indians nods and wobbles while speaking, it becomes a problem for everyone. Every culture is different. Your South African culture is beautiful and our Indian culture is beautiful as well. English isn't our first language. We have many languages of our own. The toast with Malai & sugar... BLESS YOU FOR BRINGING IT BACK... Haven't even heard it in 40 years, let alone eat it... Was my FAV FOOD when I was growing up. The malai was fro the milk of the cows from my dad's friend's personal cows. He had 2 cows to nourish his family. The family moved out, & the empty nesters did not want to part with their cows & had milk to spare. That is where we got the milk daily. The Malai was THICK & DELICIOUS
