Ignorance! I blame the Indians as well for allowing it. Sad. They see a non Indian, and I think they think they are honoured to serve them. Like what. Come to Durban, South Africa, it will b a different experience. Come through! We will show u the evolution. We also speak perfect English, firs language, so u don’t have to dull it down when u speak! I’d love to see that! Imagine, Indian vendors and restaurant owners having a proper conversation as opposed to nodding and smiling.

@@PrativaGovender Why are you looking down on Our culture? *Athiti Devo Bhav* (Guest is God) is what Indian Culture follows. It's a proud feeling when you serve food to your Guest, we aren't feeling inferior. We just want them to have a memorable experience. Japanese bow down a lot while speaking, everyone calls them polite but if Indians nods and wobbles while speaking, it becomes a problem for everyone. Every culture is different. Your South African culture is beautiful and our Indian culture is beautiful as well. English isn't our first language. We have many languages of our own. For God Sake, stop putting down other cultures and take your Superiority complex somewhere else.

The toast with Malai & sugar... BLESS YOU FOR BRINGING IT BACK... Haven't even heard it in 40 years, let alone eat it... Was my FAV FOOD when I was growing up. The malai was fro the milk of the cows from my dad's friend's personal cows. He had 2 cows to nourish his family. The family moved out, & the empty nesters did not want to part with their cows & had milk to spare. That is where we got the milk daily. The Malai was THICK & DELICIOUS

To most non Indians, You people eat cadbury or cocoa choclate which contains direct mixing of animal urine. Most of the medicines contains mixture of horse urine or any other animal urine. but here instead of using coal, the most hygenic way of preparation of food is being done, without polluting mother earth, but why is there much fuss?

Luke Martin - The machines that you are talking about, are basically very old looms weaving the saree. I worked for a factory having left hand side automatic looms.

THIS IS UNIQUE TO FOREIGNERS. HOW DOES VETERINARIAN FOOD TASTE COOKED IN COW DUNG FUEL. WE FEEL THE SAME WAY WHEN WE SEEN THEM EATING OYSTERS AND CAVIAR.

The dung cake fire produces the SLOWEST FLAME possible using any fuel .. and it may well be the longest lasting fire .. but primarily, the lowest emission of heat, no doubt about that! Period. That explains the SUPER RICH taste of anything cooked on it. We have piped gas as residents of a modern city .. but then, for a cooking a few items .. the one's Mum made to perfect, lighting a DUNG CAKE FIRE is indispensable. We have a device at home to handle that .. and also the gear to ensure that our neighbors on top are not coughing their way to file a police complaint against us!
