Indian takeaway style Lamb and Potato curry 🇮🇳 recipe & cook with me :)

Hey guys :) Just thought I'd pop on and show you this wee recipe for an Indian takeaway style Lamb & potato curry. It's fab and delicious! Doesn't take too long to cook and easy to follow. I've listed the ingredients below in case you wanted to give it a go.....
Shopping list:
350g Finely diced red onion
1 Pint of water
500g washed & peeled potatoes, cut into bite sized chunks
400g Ripe chopped tomatoes
150ml Cooking oil (I used sunflower oil)
500g Lamb leg steaks (the best that you can afford) cubed
A handful of fresh corriander/cillantro
A tablespoon of garlic paste
A tablespoon of ginger paste
3 Tablespoons cumin seeds
A tablespoon each of Corriander powder, Chilli powder, Ground turmeric & ground cumin
A teaspoon of garam massala powder

Absolutely wonderful. Our markets are challenged. No lamb here. I opted to try fresh mushrooms, sliced and cubed, fried in a little vegetable oil with a tiny bit of mustard oil, as a flavor enhancer. It was wonderful.

This looks amazing!!! Agree that garam masala should be added at the end too. On an epic visit to Scotland many years ago, I remember eating at an indian restaurant in Nairn- it was having naan in nairn! Thanks again

Very similar to my own method. Though I'm definitely going to try this exact recipe. I can just about smell it. If the end result isn't thick enough, rather than use flour or cornflower, I use good quality instant mash powder (teaspoonful at a time - easy to overdo.) I love lamb. Unfortunately I'm the only one in my household who does, so I have to try to adapt recipes to small portions.

Could you be my hero and make a chicken tikka butter masala ( it’s nothing like a tikka masala ) It’s pink and so creamy and costs me a fortune every month lol .
