I think the reason owner hung up because he gave her A scooter with private number plate instead of commercial. So its the owner of scooter is at fault. He wanted to save his ass so told you to pay 200rs. Always remember while renting a vehicle that Rental vehicles have yellow license plate, The ones with white number plates are usually private vehicle that shouldnt be used for commercial purpose.

Hi Jenna you need to change to Indian driving license with that international driving as per Indian RTO rules Korean international driving licence is not directly accepted. Like korea if we have Indian international driving licence korea ask us to exchange to Korean version like that you need to change in India too.

whatever fines you pay, you must ask for an official receipt for the same. Doesnt matter if it is 200 or 200k. sometimes those fines are bribes, so please make sure that you are not bribing those officials.

Your license is valid to drive all cars. For 2 wheel vehicle you are authorised to drive only less than 125 cc engine capacity. Your license does not allow you to drive 2 wheel vehicle with an engine capacity over 125cc. That is a possible technicality you might have overlooked. Most cops will ignore tourists who make such small silly mistakes. Very few are stickler for rules with tourists. Very very very less cops are corrupt. Technically the scooter you were driving was 124.5cc engine capacity. But you were not carrying the manual for that scooter to prove that point. And even if you did you would waste hours proving your point. 200 was your speed money.

International licenses are challenging for police in most countries. Although they are trained for some aspects of this, they rarely encounter them. At least it is only Rs. 200, it is very inexpensive. Other countries, the ticket can be massive and then people have to go to court to have them drop it.
