I grew yp hearing Japanese, since i was 8 year old. I didn't know that okonomiyaki was similar to uttapam. Its kind of like a third mother tongue to me now. Btw cabbage (キャベツ)would be patta(leaf) gobi. Phool gobi would be cauliflower（コリフラワー) キャベツは葉でお覆われた野菜ですので、ヒンヂ語であれは「パッタコビー」て言うので、 こりフラワーの花房はまるで花な見たい。 それなら、ヒンヂ語で「フルコビー」。 お疲れ様ですまよだん!!

hello didi! in hindi cabbage is called patta gobi (patta = leaf). Phool gobi is cauliflower. (phool = flower). I also get confused sometimes😂😂 loved your trivia info, and the dance.... the bubbles in the uttapam mix must be that fruit salt it is like eno or baking powder. you will find it in instant idli, dokhala mixes. normally uttapam is made from fermented batter, so in instant form, the fruit salt gives fluffy texture. so you should add water to activate it immediately before cooking to get more fluffy-ness. sometimes i get lazy and dont want to break coconut, so i make tomato chutney with uttapam. You can also eat with tomato ketchup. uttapam with ketchup is very common as school tiffin food. love your videos!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Since you are using the instant batter to make utappam, when you add water it is bound to generate bubbles because of baking soda to make it fluffy...even if your package would have not expired it would till generate bubbles..

If you want to make it vegitarian, you can make a batter with besan/gram flour, add black salt, yoghurt, one tablespoon salt, garlic and onion powder. I add peri peri masala and kitchen king masala too. Add it to chopped vegetables and you have vegetarian okonomiyaki mix. But it's without eggs

Making dose very easy you can prepare batter in home just 3:1 ratio(rice:urad dal) soak for 4 to 5 HOUR grid it and allow to ferment over night and morning enjoy your fresh home made dose with sabzi or chutney
