#147 Good morning, Robert. Many years ago, last century, I use to wheel steam ships on Lake Michigan. The Lake was so clean and clear, then. Especially during the winter when the ice had a shadow blue color and you could see farther into the lake water, as is was clear. I miss those days, but still remember them at my age of 73. Take care and Travel On!

Hello Traveling Robert 😊😊🎸🎸🎵🎵...Yeahhhh Yeahhhh...drivin to the south...im driving to Key West...to see the PELICANS...FLY PELICANS FLY🎸🎸🎸🎵🎵🎵! Outstanding video footage of Indiana Dunes National Park, and that view across Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline was just AWESOME. Also, I really enjoy that you like to drive US and state routes most times instead of the interstate, see much more of the beautiful scenery and small town America. Great video Robert👍👍👍. Looking forward to the next video.

Went to the Indiana Dunes with my Boy Scout Troop in 1965 for a weekend camping trip and with my High School Biology Class in 1968. It was an interesting place the. My biology teacher kept asking me to identify small fossils that washed up on the beach since I wanted to be a Geologist. We had a blast. Thanks for sharing these videos and your impressions. As usual, quality work! Well done!

That sunset was the best! I was at that campground 4 years ago .... never saw so many wood ticks in one place - they were climbing up the legs of the lawn chair. Wood ticks, not the deer ticks so just go prepared with spray.

What a gorgeous part of the US. I visit the US (in normal times) around 4-5 times a year, but this is one state I really don't know and now I'm itching to visit! I really miss travelling to the States - almost everyone I've met has been super friendly and hospitable - absolutely wonderful. I find American's to be warm hearted, generous and welcoming - I hope I can visit a couple of times later this year and your videos always make me long to be 'stateside' - keep up the fantastic work and greetings from the UK To the folks at Winnebago: I hope you know how much good advertising Robert's adventures are! :-)

Thank you posting the beautiful views from the Indiana Dunes. I hope you enjoyed your stay. I live close so I go up and hike, swim in the summer as much as I can. The water in Lake Michigan stays warm through September, even into October. It takes awhile to warm up in the summer but it's less crowded in the fall and you can still swim.

I swam in Lake Michigan many many times at the Chicago south side lake front parks, Indiana Dunes and Michigan dunes area south of South Haven, MI. Brings back great memories of my childhood over 60 years ago. It was ALWAYS COLD ! Maybe it changed due to global warming ? I read recently that the location of Chicago was due to the existence of a approximately 3 mile wide shallow swamp that canoes had to portage around to make a route that was all water from St Lawrence River from the Atlantic Ocean to the mouth of Mississippi River in the Gulf of Mexico. Chicago has a North side neighborhood named Portage Park.
