Anyone that stops by Cranberries at Indian Lake, have a drink in honor of Jimmy and let them know you found them via Traveling Robert. His employees and really close friends are really missing him now that the season is opening back up. I only was friends with Jimmy for a short time and I know I miss him and regret that I did not get back over when he asked me too.

What a great video, and an honor to your friend. I grew up near a large lake in NC and there were a couple amphicars there. Seems they were not around long and there was a story about one sinking (maybe untrue), but, they are a great conversation piece.

What surprises me about the Amphicars is few were made yet even in our small central Illinois town there were two regularly at the river boat dock. My brother and I got to ride in a red one for a short time on the Illinois River.

My family used to live in Lakeview in the 60's, only a couple miles from the lake. We used to go over to what was then Sandy Beach Amusement Park. It had a big wood coaster and a lot of rides, but the park had really started to deteriorate by the mid-60's. It got to be a hangout for motorcycle gangs and what were called "Juvenile Delinquents" in those days. Lots of fights would break out on weekends, especially on holiday weekends. The company that owned the place hired just about every off-duty deputy sheriff within 50 miles for holiday weekends, and the state highway patrol hauled away all those arrested for fighting to jail in school busses. I think they out up the statue of the Virgin Mary to show families it was safe and peaceful there again. It didn't work, and I think the park closed up for good sometime in the 70's. I haven't been back there since maybe 1968, and the only thing I recognize is the bridge. It's seems like a beautiful place today. That's just terrible about Jimmy. Sometimes it seems like those with the most to live for get taken way too early.

Hi Robert..we’ve been subscribed and watching your vids for the past 3 years and really enjoy them. That said, these past few months as your have grown your following the amount of commercial interruptions have affected the enjoy ability of your vids. There are more commercials now than a bad commercial tv channel. In the past we would watch the commercials as a way of helping to compensate you for your creativity. Now I sit with the remote in hand to skip all that I am allowed to skip. Don’t know if it’s YT taking advantage of your popularity or a decision on your part but in our opinion it has lessened our enjoyment. While we always give you a thumbs up it is harder to do.
