Double doubles? Caitlin Clark: hold my beer!
@DonaldBruceSmithАй бұрын
It only took Clark 22 games to achieve these marks and Clark has 18 more games. 1) Caitlin Clark makes WNBA history with first-ever rookie triple-double 2) Clark became the fastest WNBA rookie to record 100 assists since Sue Bird in 2002. 3) In addition, Clark became the fastest player in league history to reach 250 points and 100 assists. Still trying to understand that 6ft Clark has better Defense Rebounds, more blocked shots and steals than 6ft 5in Reese

Here's the difference between Clark n Reese, Reese sets the same record with every game she plays while Clark ties, sets, creates (first rookie triple double) records with every game she plays. BIG difference between resetting the same record vs tying, stting, n creating new ones.

Single game records are a mark of a player's peak: they show you what a player is capable of at their very best. Multiple game records are a mark of a player's consistency: they show you what you can expect from a player on a nightly basis. Clark has had higher peaks. Reese has been more consistent.

Clark had 19 Pts, 13 Ast at a minimum would be 26 PTS, or at least 45 points of the 83 scored or 54% of the Fevers scoring, Now run all of Clark's games, and then run Reese's numbers and see where the numbers land - my bet is Clark crushes Reese and that should be a ROTY Award

Commenter richardcorley9261 had the best analysis below: The Liberty were so afraid of that crazy outlet pass (from Caitlin) they just take off and dont even worry about a second shot. It hurts fever scoring numbers and ccs assist numbers and (BUT) boosts her rebounds Same dynamic when they blitz and double team her. It hurts her scoring numbers BUT increases her assists. Either way it changes the way they scheme when they play her.

A triple double in the WNBA is massively huge! I believe the announcers said there's only ever been 31 triple doubles in the history of the league. So, if CC racks up a few more of them by the end of this season, it'll be undeniable that she's one of the most balanced players to ever play the game. And, of course, there's always next year to keep raising that bar. 😉
@ops-qe4ztАй бұрын
@@onlylikemindedbw So why did the other team leave her alone? All 5 other players were near the 3 pt circle. who's fault is that? and that was only one that 1 rebound. Keep trying to minimize her huge achievement.

Good win amd finish but those 3rd and 4th quarters were hard to watch. They hust hit that stretch where they dont seem to know what to run and just go flat. Luckily CC realized im gonna have to do a little one on one to get a score or two Sometimes the outside shots just dont fall for you but I saw at least 12 bunnies missed and you wont beat a team like that very often doing that.
