The ones you hear that hate Jones are just those that never saw the series growing up or just show boating their own egos. Then you do have the few that legitimately have reasons not to encourage people to be like Indiana Jones for him being more of a grave robber than a archeologiest. However they are a minority. A good majority of modern archeologiest likely gained their interest in archeology or history due to seeing Indiana Jones. Many Archeologies who are fans of Indiana likely all wear a wide brim fedora of some forms, has a passion of the history of the field in archeology they are in, and more importantly will defend relics and history as much as they can from those who tries to exploit it.

If only our One True Batman had gotten better respect than that. The closest from what I heard is Crisis On Infinite Earths, but that’s a movie trilogy. Arkham Batman got disrespected, but luckily for everyone Kevin Conroy had been the voice of Batman since 1992, meaning there are multiple Batman out there who got better respect than Arkham Batman did. Don’t think of this as a final sendoff, let’s go for the animated movies instead..

This felt great and was fun to watch, it felt like an Indy movie slipped into the original trilogy now making it a quarto. The story doesn't take away or corrupt the OG movies lore or period. So much fun to watch, and DEVS and story writers take on the history and digs and finds got my attention, cause I love history and ancient history, and leave it to Indiana Jones to unity the world in his own special and unique way. It's straining metal. You don't want to be on any metal structure making that noise. This with the added context that said metal structure is perched on the edge of a cliff on top of a mountain. For me personally, if I was Indy, that would be the last thing I'd want to hear as well.

But for the life of me, I can't recall any time Indy was on a large metal ship at the time that The Great Circle takes place. The exception being the pirate vessel in Raiders, but no such thing happened while he was onboard.
