Indiana State Police raided a religious compound in Kokomo, Indiana, in search of a missing child who was reportedly being abused. The child's father, former NFL player Daniel Muir, was arrested and is being held without bond.

How can you jump to conclusions like that? We have basically no information to go on other than they are religious, and believe in traditional points of views. The boy had a black eye and swollen lip, how did he get that? We don’t know, but we assume it’s because he (father) “abused” him (son). He may have, we don’t actually know. If he did why did he? Did the kid tell his old man to STFU I wanna do my gangbanger stuff and you can’t stop me? Do you kinda see what I mean? There are way too many variables in play and unanswered questions to really draw a good conclusion. If you were born under Regan and you didn’t get a spanking or had to cut your own switch you are a rarity or your parents didn’t care how you turned out. This sounds like a couple of people had their own child taken away without evidence of wrongdoing, and he had been declared missing, but was found on his parents' property. Am I missing something? This kid was with his parents, on their property, but law enforcement called him missing? What is going on in my state right now? Can law enforcement just declare anyone they want missing? I understand the bruises, but a 14 year-old boy is usually covered in marks, bruises, scars, and scabs. The thing that bothers me is the heavy focus on the religious affiliation. Why is that part of this at all? I'm hearing a LOT of questionable 1st amendment problems. If the ACLU isn't involved in this pretty soon, I will be shocked. I'm a liberal Democrat, but this is troubling. I'm hoping I'm just missing all the facts that make this OK. The police took away a child from his parents, off of their property, and he was determined to be fine, well, and uninjured. I hope the police don't show up at my house and discover how healthy, uninjured, and mentally adjusted my kids are!
