I had a tear in my eye as you finished cleaning out Old Red & also as she pulled away. It is comforting to know someone that you know purchased Old Red and will do his best to keep care of her in a good environment (no road salt) as I think over-all she has been a good truck for you and 10 years is a lot of time together! …………. I guess I've been subscribed about 4 years now. The best remembrance of Old Red is when she was traveling down the road with no issues, and you narrating what was going on, etc., very similar to this video. My biggest memory is when Old Red blew a head gasket, and you ended up getting what I think was a partial rebuild which was fairly expensive, probably the most you ever spent in repairs in one interval. However, I believe over-all, Old Red was and still is a good truck! ............... It appears to me "The Swede" (sorry if the name is spelled wrong, etc.), has around 500,000 miles on it and appears to have “I” shift (automatic transmissions truck style) by looking at the logo on the shift handle and the shift handle being so close to the driver's seat. Other than that, Lord willing, I will watch your next video with anticipation. I'll be waiting for what I hope will be a complete detail on “The Swede’s” specifications and possibly a tour without invading your privacy and to find out what the future holds for you truck wise however I heard you say you were buying "The Swede". I would imagine your company is able to give you a really good price and payment arrangements on a used truck. I pray too, that this truck is as good or better mechanically as Old Red was. ............ Since you live in Florida (I think that's right) but it appears a lot of your family is in Indiana (living or deceased based on what you said via this video), I am thinking now I know why you call yourself "IndianaJack"? I also believe your mild mannerism, patience, and clean language could possibly be learned from your parents, especially your Dad, and your basic nature as a decent person. ………. As always, it's been a pleasure riding with you Jack.

Dear Jack. I cannot understand how you feel about 'old Red'. A car, with you for such a long Time, is like a familymember. Counties Mile, Horus and sceens. Landscapes and Time flying by while driving. Good luck to old Red and to you. Keep in trucking. We love you both.

As a Tire Care Manager at a Love's Travel Stop, I apologize for the problems you seem to experience with Tire Pass. I can assure you that you wouldn't be made to back out of the Tire Pass lane if my system went down and you still needed fuel. And I would route you to my tire shop to have your tire pressure checked in the event of a Tire Pass failure.
@indianajack6 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for commenting. I'm very disappointed with the whole Loves Tire Pass project. Except for the one by my house which seems to work quite well. I only stopped at that one again so they could redeem themselves but that did not work. I will continue checking my own tires but we'll keep a a watchful eye on what Love's is doing to try to improve theirs.
@trucktech688016 жыл бұрын
indianajacktrucker we did go thru an upgrade this year to the entire system which is supposed to be less buggy and more reliable. My lane has been closed off since Mid-April due to having a large hole in the ground on the exit side of the lane where some of my underground storage tanks are located, as well as having a shower/laundry addition that is almost done.

Robert: Good of you to speak up regarding your customer service. You want and need guys like Jack as customers. Maybe make him an offer he can't refuse on his next tire needs. To have him back would be a win-win; good for both of you. Besides that, he'll likely be a free and credible ad for you in his next vid after the good customer service which might bring in more business.

Robert Mobley its nice to see a Love's manager that cares. I know that guys hands are tied at times with big companies, but it doesn't give them a excuse to throw service to the wind and be rude. I've been there and it took a while to learn,but I found if you try and do what you can it makes things and the day better.
@freightking26706 жыл бұрын
Robert Mobley It's nice to see a loves associate speaking out about it. Its happens more than you think though. I've been through it a few times where I tried to get a tirepass and the system was down and they wouldn't let me fuel there. One time had to blind back out the tirepass lane.

I almost wished I hadn't watched this episode. 😥 When you have a reliable vehicle that you put a lot of time and love into and got a lot of pride and reliability and dependability in return, it is so hard to turn it over to another person. I've gone thru potential owners to get to the right one before selling, also. I've got a 2003 QuadraSteer truck that is all-wheel steering. I have a big shop, and room to keep it, and just can't sell it. I drive it a little every so often. But, I don't think I'll ever sell it. If you're happy with who bought old Red, and it seems to be the case, that's all that's important. Be careful on your travels 🙏✌💛😊

When you come through Jacksonville FL, Tom Nehl cleans the DPF and DOC for under $500. That does not include labor to remove/reinstall. Best part is you can give them yours as a core and they have other units cleaned ready to go if you do not have the time to wait for yours. They have the oven and air knife to clean these.

My first love, aka truck I drove, (preCDL days) was an old 1979 Kenworth cabover that DIDNT have power steering. The AC didn't work and no air ride. Hell it didn't even have an AM/FM radio that worked and it smelt like ass crack and diesel fuel. That truck gave me arms like Popeye and kidneys of an 80y/o. But, I loved that old truck. I wonder from time to time what happen to her. I didn't get a, what you would call a nice truck, wasn't til I got with,,, "Watchout he's backing up!!" JB Hunt. God I miss the road. Good luck with the new truck Jack. Heres hoping she give you as much sevice as "Ol Red" did.
