I have never seen this in any era of the NFL after watching decades of football. This is akin to criticisms of Cam Newton not jumping on the football after a fumble in the SB or Donavan McNabb saying that his stomach was upset in the SB where both were accused of quitting on their teams. It will stick to AR his entire career because it is unforgivable as a leader or a competitor. The message was clearly sent to his teammates that if things get tough I will quit on you like a coward. Vince Lombardi said it best, "fatigue makes cowards of us all" so he made sure that his teams were in shape and had endurance. The kid is not even smart enough to lie and say he thought that he might have tweaked something or anything but the raw truth of how mentally and physically soft he is. I am ashamed for him because he has zero self awareness. Kent is right that because of his physical attributes he has jumped the line at every level never having to struggle to earn something and learn it's value. It is evident in his attitude like this was not a big deal. I watched Ronnie Lott give the go ahead to amputate a portion of his finger so that he could get back out there and Brett Favre endure all types of injuries in order to not miss a snap even getting addicted to pain killers in the drive to keep playing. Peyton Manning would not surrender even practice snaps and had to take every one on the first team. AR has none of that drive in him. The first signal was when he self reported his concussion last year. In the recent past players would do all kinds of things to hide the concussion to keep playing. None of them would ever self report. My point is he is missing something in the personal drive department that is essential to being great in this league. It is just not there and his behaviors scream it out to us.

J Bean is the QB who needs to be the one who needs a chance to be developed
@c.a.saunders28193 күн бұрын
@jeffzeigler3434 You're absolutely correct. Jason has the abilities, the drive and will to overcome and succeed. He should be moved to QB 2 immediately. He should be inserted into games at various points such as if we were to have a big lead, or the other team does, not to mention if it's clear we're out of the playoff race. Which seems it may be fast approaching. I see young Jason as a very worthy investment for development. Let him learn under Flacco about how to prepare, film study, and how to be a professional quarterback. If we'd have done this for this season there's no doubt in my mind we'd be seeing returns on that investment right about now. Kid is a winner, and has already led a team successfully, and had already overcome the battles of competition and won those battles. We were smart enough to bring him in because of the GM's son was a close friend of Jason's at Kansas but, is our management smart enough to see what they've actually got? I have to believe our entire scouting department missed him, and because he was Ballard's son's friend, he got to the Colts. Personally, I believe Colts management doesn't have the courage or smarts to move this young QB to the right position. They seem worried about protecting they're own perceived genius not realizing that this move would in fact be genius. He'll end up on another team, and we'll watch him become successful somewhere. That seems how we operate the roster. I get angry just thinking about it. Anyways, glad you spoke up about Jason. He's the most promising quarterback in the building. C A
@c.a.saunders28193 күн бұрын
@jeffzeigler3434 You're absolutely correct. Jason Bean is the only quarterback on the team, or in the building that is worthy of the investment of developing. He should be QB2 right now, learning from Flacco, and getting inserted in games where possible. Ballard's son was apparently smart enough to convince his father to bring him in. I don't believe his father is smart enough to realize what he brought in though. Also, how did this kid get missed by our entire scouting department? As we sit right now he's the second best QB in the organization. Hands down, unequivocally. Thanks for posting about Jason Bean, I've saying this since the end of preseason. C A

IF he was tired and needed a blow… we didn’t have the timeout for that. We ran out of time at the end. If we would’ve taken the timeout then we would’ve got the ball back with about 17 seconds left. Not that it mattered in the end anyway. I know I saw more than a couple passes you would’ve liked to see the WRs and TEs come down with. Not a great day for beating coverage and getting separation. Also not a great day for high pointing and attacking the ball on contested throws. Why didn’t we run the ball 35 times? Feed JT and make it easier to get over the top of the defense. The Texans were scared of the run for a reason in the beginning and we should’ve ran it down their throats. Make the game easier for the young QB. 5.3 yards per carry and JT only gets 20 carries?
