It’s not the crystals. Powder has a host of mental health issues. She has abandonment issues, trauma from watching her parents die, anxiety attacks (what we saw during her freak out scene), large amounts of insecurity (thanks in part to Mylo), amongst other things.

I've watched this reaction over 100 times and it still brings tears to my eyes hearing Powder crying for her sister. The inability to speak after that scene is pretty much everybodys reaction.

"It's only the third episode!" Everyone says at at some point during this episode. It's a hard left hook out of nowhere. But there's no looking back, trust me, it's all better and better from here. EDIT: Here after the end and... yeah. Absolutely perfect reaction. I was a little afraid to see how hard this episode would hit you, because you're quite adept at picking up the characters' feelings. This is easily one of the most powerful episodes I've seen of any show, ever. Congrats on making it through. Keep going. You won't regret finishing the show.

Oh that last scene... The "I was saving you", the animations and then Powder totally broke me , you can feel that 2child desperation" on her. The next episodes are only going to get better !!!

There's nothing shameful about it. Panic attacks happen especially if you have any mental illnesses or disorders. We just need to learn to manage it.

Loved this reaction! Well done for getting through this episode! You ask if maybe the crystals are making Powder act crazy when she has been left alone, it is actually just her mental state/health. Because of what happened to her parents (as well as being told on a daily basis she isn't good enough by Milo), she has serious abandonment issues & PTSD. Her mental health is one of the most fascinating aspects of this show, IMO! In fact, KZbin Therapists have posted entire videos breaking her down as a character. Now as I am the world's biggest Powder apologist XD - I think what she said about Vi not being her sister any more was out of despair over what just happened rather than anger, with her being blamed for everything and presuming Vi had left her forever. It is a brilliant ending!

You need to watch Bridging The Rift after episode 9, it's a 3 part mini documentary about how this serious came to be. Spoiler, this mature emotion is what the creators wanted to convey

Absolutely. So far she's been gold at picking up what the show is putting down. Not everyone appreciates the hint that something is very concerning about Powder when she has her panic attack.

Best show ever mde. Im not just saying that... I aalysed and compared for over two years before I made my decision. It ended up between this and Breaking Bad and as good as BB is, there *_are_* a few holes in it. I have taken into account that BB is like 5 seasons and has way more episodes per eason making it harder to NOT have any mistakes. When Arcane has the same amout of seasons and episodes I will compare them again. Its only fair. But as it stands, Arcane is better than Breaking Bad

What to watch next? There are many wonderful choices: W.I.T.C.H (cartoon where five girls got magic, I mean, almost noone reacts it :( ), Wakfu, Hilda, Nausicaa of the valley of the wind, Princess Mononoke. So many wonderful cartoons!
